Customers are saying

Customers recognize the vívofit 2 Activity Tracker's exceptional battery life and ease of use as significant advantages. Many appreciate its water resistance and sleep tracking capabilities, while some find the syncing process challenging and express a desire for a heart rate monitor. The device's size and clasp have also received mixed feedback. Overall, the positive aspects of battery life and ease of use appear to outweigh the concerns regarding syncing and the lack of a heart rate monitor for many users.

My kids wanted to get their grandma a cool gift and encourage her to exercise and be healthy. This is a simple wearable and not much tech knowledge needed. Perfect gift for grandparents.

    Not for the active

I am the parent to a very active 8 year old boy. He received this tracker for Christmas and was so excited. Over 2 months the tracker fell off multiple times even after verifying the clasp was closed correctly. The last time unfortunately was on the playground at school during recess and it is gone forever. It is very disappointing to spend my money on a gift with a insufficient clasp to keep it on while active. The whole point to an activity tracker is to be active.

Although end-of-line this device is well worth the price. If you're looking for a basic device to help motivate you to move more, then this device should prove helpful.

So simple and confortable to wear.

Works great right out of the box. Comfortable to wear and locks on so it cannot fall off. Unit stays in band, and the bands are easy to change. Caution: This is not really a true "backlit" item. Can see the face well in the daylight, but does not light up to see in the dark.

Thank you for taking the time to review the vívofit 2. We're sorry to hear this, as it is very unusual. The battery should last around a year or longer.

I purchased this to count calories. But after purchasing I found that it does a very poor job of it. I also read on line and the revues confirmed this.

    Off on tracking steps... BAD!

I did research and watched countless YouTube videos over the Garmin vivofit. I wanted something to help track my running distance as I progressed. (Training for a half marathon.) The day I purchased it, I got it all setup to use the next day for running. I went to the gym and ran on a treadmill. The distance on the treadmill and the vivofit were two different numbers. After noticing the drastic difference I went to the stair climber. I did NOT hold the handles as I knew it would not count if my arm was not moving. After only finishing 100 steps my vivofit said I only did 65. WTH!? I knew after that, this was a bad choice. After syncing it with the app it did NOT show i ran anything only logged steps. Kinda defeats the purpose, Today (day three) of having the vivofit I got up and turned off sleep mode. After taking a shower, getting my kids up and ready for school, making lunches I was already at 184 steps. I went to blow dry my hair and just by standing still and blow drying my hair my steps went up to 348. 348!?!? Come on! On my way to work, I looked down and my steps were being counted as I WAS SITTING IN MY CAR DRIVING! I am beyond frustrated and annoyed with this purchase. I will be taking this back today and just stick with using the Under Armour app and taking pictures of my results on the treadmill. I will NEVER recommend this to anyone nor will I understand how the other people that gave this 4 or more stars got their's to work properly.

Thank you for taking time to review the vivofit 2. While you may have already taken the device back, we want to take the opportunity to address some of the concerns you had with the device. If you are seeing differences in distance between the vivofit 2 and the treadmill you can set a custom step/stride length. This will allow the unit to track you distance more accurately. For more information and instructions for setting the custom step length use this link: http://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/simpleCase.htm?caseId={1a89a040-b2fb-11e4-6728-000000000000}&kbName=garmin.
The vivofit 2 also has a activity timer feature built into the device. If you would like to record a dedicated activity you can press and hold the button until you see START displayed. This will start a timer. When you are done you press and hold the button once more until you see STOP. The next time you sync you will see a dedicated activity listed in your Garmin Connect account.
Garmin Activity Trackers are designed to track repetitive motion to track steps. For more information on why you may see steps tracked when not walking please use the following FAQ:  http://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/simpleCase.htm?caseId={2a175810-d226-11e3-e635-000000000000}&kbName=garmin. Again, thank you for taking the time to review the vivofit 2.

    Expensive reminder to move

Received as a gift. It is inaccurate at counting steps, stairs climbed or minutes exercised. Battery runs out quickly because it beeps with every email, text, or call received. Sent back to Garmin and they offered to send a USED device. I had to say no and tell them I wanted a NEW replacement but sadly the replacement is no more accurate than the first. I could live with some inaccuracy, but I walk a 4.5 mile route that the Garmin records at less than 2 miles! I wish I could get my money back! Sadly disappointed in the quality of Garmin as we have bought several GPS devices that we liked.

    Dont go swimming

Bought this because it said it was water resistant up to 164 feet, well not really true, went to the beach and guess what, it died and I was in water only up to my chest. So if you like to swim this one is not for you.

Thank you for the review. It is unusual to see a "Sync Complete" message in Garmin Connect Mobile, but no data being displayed in the app or online.
