However, some users mention challenges with automatic syncing and the lack of a heart rate monitor. A few also noted that the device's size may not be suitable for all users.

Works great, easy to sync every morning. Needed a couple of e-mails to Garmin with questions. They were prompt to reply with answers. My only complaint is that it should have a backlight so you can see the display at night.

simple fun easy to use and durable...that is until updated...once updated it took days to resolve my computer/Garmin not recognizing the ANT stick...lost several days of data. The self work around was quite complex for non-savvy tech folk which is exactly what it shouldn't have been.It was resolved eventually....

bought the identical tracker last year, battery lasted 11 months, which I loved, but they didn't carry replacement batteries, so I purchased another band just for the battery because I didn't want to be without my tracker. Should have waited one month longer and got the newest version, oh well. Later found the correct battery online and got it shipped from Miami, had it in two days. Get replacements before you run out, and keep them in the fridge, I hear they last longer that way.

I initially was impressed with the Garmin Vivofit - I loved the design, the fact that you could see how many steps you'd taken (not just dots) and the "motivating" red line if you were stationary for too long. But after about 2 weeks I grew to dislike the Vivofit in favor of my daughter's Fitbit (dots and all)! The Vivo fit wouldn't sync to computers (yes, I tried more than one). At first it did... then it just stopped and the accompanying program was tedious/unresponsive.

I think this is an overall good product. Wish the band was made a little better and also wish the watch had a backlight but I am happy with the product/

Love this product, I have owned fitbit and up bands. This is way better, no charging, the integrated app works on android and works with myfitnesspal.

I have had my device for about 2 months now. The positives is the display easy to read and the device is easy to sync and pair. The big plus is the online function that allows you to keep up with your steps/goals, etc. It also allows you to compete with other Garmin owners. That def. pushes me to attempt to win 1st place for the week and surpass my Step goals The biggest down is the inaccuracy of having a wristband in that if you have a lot of hand movement (taking a shower, putting on lotion, etc) the device will count the movements toward your steps, when in fact you have not moved an inch. Of course the fix is to take it off when during this time.

I got this for my boyfriend. I have one of my own it's just purple. They are comforatble to wear and you can get an app on your phone to track everything. I head the fitbits have issues with the battery burning people and the Garmin does not do that AT ALL! I've had mine for two years no problems

My mom wanted a tracker but she didn't want to have to log on to her iphone to see her steps. This product constantly displays her current steps so it's like having a pedometer on her wrist.

This is not our first Garmin product experience, and it still reliable as most Garmin products are. It is an entry-level activity tracker so it works well and does what it's supposed to do.

I would like it more if you do not have to manually put in your activities. It also doesn't have the sports that I play so it makes things harder. I prefer my galaxy gear watch better.

Nice to have a more affordable alternative to the Fitbit. Love that it displays the time as well as the number of steps and miles. No need to wear a separate watch.
