    Best Buy specs indicate it has a stopwatch and countdown function, but it does not. I might not have bought it had I known. It is a little difficult to connect the band, but perhaps that will loosen up with use. It was easy to connect to my tablet and to sync for review.

    I have this for about two years now and I like the fact the battery last a year and sometimes longer. It's a great basic fit tracker for counting steps

    I love the features of this Garmin Vivofit however it does not have a backlight so it is hard to see at night when using the watch feature.

    I use this for tracking my steps and this has helped me increase my steps by 8,000 steps! It's a nice and challenging way of burning 300 extra calories every day. Extremely lightweight and comfortable. I was afraid of getting one and then not being able to wear my normal watches. But I just stick this in my bag or pocket if I'm wearing another watch and it tracks my steps the same. Love it!

    I walk an average of 15,000 steps a day so I was pretty excited to finally get a tracker. I love that I can go online and join challenges to keep me motivated every day. So far, I love this tracker and it's a good start before I get a nicer, more complex one!

    Cool if it would of worked but did not sync the second day... Returned and did not bother trying to mess with another one. Very disappointed.

    After ready many of the reviews, I chose this fit band as it is water resistant and also has the heart rate band for me to use for accuracy in workouts. The amount of time I've wasted so far in trying to simply have it up and running is crazy. Hours of updates, syncing, reading all sorts of tips on how to set up my personal preferences, etc, etc, etc. Really? I just wanted to be able to use it, not write my own computer program.

    I decided to buy a vivofit tracker today. I wouldn't suggest it because it will track your steps even when you are not active. I was sitting at my computer and I had the thing on my wrist and it said that just by sitting here typing that I walked 27 steps. I thought it was cool because it had a sleep tracker on it too. However while I was sleeping (It was in sleep mode) it said that I walked 0.2 of a mile. How can that be when I wasn't up walking around. I'm not a sleep walker. Not to mention that the thing wouldn't sync and I had a hard time even getting it to pair to my iPhone. I will definitely be taking this back to the store. I looked at the reviews of the fitbit too and with all of the 1 star reviews all of them were the same as the vivofit. Very dissatisfied. I will not get another one like this. It's all a gimmick just to make you think they are "The best thing out there". Well, there NOT.

      Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear about your experience with the vivofit, the following information will assist you with ways to get the most accurate data. Keeping the device software up to date is going to be important. An update can be done through a compatible mobile device or with Garmin Express, which can be downloaded to your computer from www.garmin.com/express
      We also recommend setting up Custom Step Length. This will provide the most accurate distance. This feature will be specific to the user.       There will be times when the device might or might not count movement as steps, however your overall step trends and goals should not be significantly affected.     The Worst! Wont Sync!

    I was very excited about my new activity tracker! I've been working with it since Friday and its only Sunday and I'm already over it! Friday I was happy, everything seemed to install on my computer and cell phone. I was able to get everything synced once or twice but since then nothing... You are also supposed to be able to link My Fitness Pal for calorie information but it and Garmin Connect and Garmin Express all seem to work together with this vivofit when they want to :-( All I keep seeing is; error, device disconnected. I've reinstalled and reconnected the device to all the apps several times and this thing is still not consistent. Very Disappointed! Its going back tomorrow! Id rather just by a cheap pedometer and enter my information manually into My Fitness Pal . (Also its very sensitive, I sat on the couch and feed my baby and gained several hundred steps... seriously?!)

      Thank you for the review, we apologize for any issues that you ran into with this product.

      When viewing the vivofit device in Garmin Connect Mobile application, it will often be in a "Disconnected" status.

      The vivofit is designed to use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), sometimes referred to as Bluetooth Smart. BLE devices will only connect when a pair or sync is initiated. When you sync or pair the device, it will connect, perform the requested function, and then disconnect.

      To check that your device is operating normally:

      1. Open Connect Mobile
      2. Touch Devices
      3. Locate the vivofit
      4. Press the button on the vivofit until you see "SYNC" displayed.

      The state of the vivofit should change to "Connected" while the sync is in progress, then change back to "Disconnected". This is how the vivofit is designed to work.

    Poor Garmin support

    No issues with BestBuy, but Garmin support was awful! First, there was not even the most basic of user manuals included, so I did download one. I also added the app to the smartphone. However, it seems I had a Garmin account in the past, to which I have no idea of the password. So try to reset it, and Garmin says the email I am using is invalid. Try to set up a new account using my gmail account and that is also deemed invalid. Try to contact by phone, a 30 minute wait. Send an email and I can get a reply within 3 business days. Chat? Not a chance - there isn't one. This thing is going back! I'll find a product that has support!
