I wanted something to monitor my steps, calories and worked with Myfitnesspal app. The Garmin Vivofit works as promised. It is easy to setup, tracks steps and works as designed. it's design does allow for the steps to be exaggerated due to how much you use the arm it's on. I am in IT, on a computer 8-10 hrs a day and I feel the steps might be affected by using a keyboard.

I like this activity tracker. I do not have to charge it, it's waterproof and everyone doesn't have to see my steps. It has different views. I like the time view. It may have some problems recording all my steps, but every activity tracker has this problem. This is my third activity tracker. I like the sleep tracker. Also liked viewing the info on my phone!

I really like that I can see my progress right on the display. My husband has the fitbit flex and I do like how his vibrates when you've reached your goal but that wasn't a deal breaker for me since the garmin doesn't have that feature. :) overall like it as a starter and it's nice if your just tracking steps and calories burned. I was a little bummed it doesn't have an alarm clock like the fitbit flex as well but I do love that it works for a full year before you have to replace the battery. My husband has to charge his fitbit flex about every 3 days.

Love my viviofit!!! Keeps accurate steps and sleep patterns!! I also love the watch feature and go swimming with this on!! Helps me keep track of my water aerobic workouts!! Way to go Garmin!!

Easy to pair with phone. Comfortable to wear 100% time. Waterproof with long battery life. Seems generous in counting steps.

I checked all reviews before buying and this was my pick due to good reviews and the best price. It is very accurate and I love the app on the phone that is easy to use. A cool feature is sleep tracking which shows how often you light vs deep sleep. The only issue I have had is I must have an allergy to the material used to make this b/c the back of my hand was itching so bad I had to take it off until I can find a solution.

I chose to purchase the vivofit after having tried a fitbit. I had to reset the fitbit each time I charged it. I also found it difficult to keep up with recharging it since I have so many other electronics that need recharging daily or weekly. The vivofit can stay on my arm day and night. The battery is a watch battery and does not die in the middle of the day when I depend on it to count steps. I like that it also tells me the time, date, my goal steps, etc. Syncing with my iPhone is simple, and the Garmin App works great.

This is a great unit for making you aware of the amount of activity during the day. It is great that it is waterproof and I can wear while swimming. It does not track bicycle riding unless I take it off and put it in my pants pocket. I also wish it gave an audible alert when inactive for an hour so that I would be encouraged to get up and move! This is a excellent product.

Bought this for my daughter who wanted to track her steps. It keeps you moving as you want to reach your goal each day. It automatically ups your goal each day the more steps you take so you can start off slow and work your way up. Also tracks sleep.

I have had one of these for myself and my mother for more than a year now, with no complaints! My grandmother wanted to know the number of steps she was making daily, so I bought up another when it was on sale. So far she loves it, and can even figure out how to use it (again simple, there is only 1 button with 2 actions). Pros: - Simple - Battery lasts 1yr + - Waterproof/resilient Cons: - Records for only 7 days, so if you forget to sync at least once a week then you will lose some data. I would suggest to anyone looking for a simple watch/fitness tracker to pick one of these up.

This is not my first fitness tracker, but this is my favorite so far. It tracks my sleep and my steps taken. The best part is I do not have to charge! If you are looking for simple tracking then this is the device you are looking for. I have worn for 2 months now and it is like a regular watch, but challenges me to get up and move.

Good product for what it supposed to do. Easy to use. Interesting charts. App for phone works to connect blu-tooth or ANT stick for computer (I use a MacBook Pro). No problems in set up procedure. The only complaint I have is that the rubber band gets sweaty after a workout. I wish it included a GPS and a heart monitor- it doesn't. Price efficient though, if I had wanted a GPS and a heart monitor (optional), I would have paid more than the $129. This is better than the others in the price range. This activity shows a digital time- like a watch (no so obvious). Enjoy.

This band is not the fanciest, but I just wanted one that would count my steps, show the calories I burned, interact with My Fitness Pal, and track my sleep. The Garmin Vivofit does all that and much more! A friend recommended it, I did the research and even found it on sale!

I only wanted to track steps, have a daily goal, and got more with this fitbit. It shows time and date, as well as miles. I don't need all the bells and whistles...just something that keeps me motivated to move and this definitely does that. Great item for the price...easy to use (love that it doesn't have to be charged - uses regular watch battery).

I love the fact that it is a watch as well as a fitness tracker. It does not have to be recharged as it uses the same type of batteries in a car remote. It also tracks sleep patterns. I have a Select Comfort bed with sleep IQ while the band is not as accurate it is very close. I did a lot of researching and the Garmin trackers seem to be very good. Great value.

I was looking for a waterproof tracker. Surprisingly not many are. this is good looking, has a great display and gives very accurate data.

I had debated between this and a Fitbit; of course the price difference is a big part of what led me to purchase the Vivofit, plus my boss had gotten one and after tinkering with hers, I was sold. I got mine in black so it's less obtrusive and works well as a replacement "watch", plus the other functions. I like how the Vivofit learns your activity levels and will raise/lower your steps goal depending on the previous day's activity so you're not always reaching for an insurmountable goal. I also love the syncing with the MyFitnessPal app! One issue I've encountered pretty regularly is that sometimes when you sync Vivofit, it captures everything except sleep OR the active calories you've burned (the calories that offset your MyFitnessPal allowance). It's not a huge deal, and really one shouldn't be banking on those calories to allow them to blow their diet for the day, and the sleep portion is really just for curiousity sake. But it's just weird that sometimes it syncs beautifully and other times it takes 3 consecutive syncs to get everything updated. Still, I'm happy with it!

The VivoFit is simple to use, gives you constant information, and synchronizes with your PC for more detailed information and tracking trends. The long-life battery makes it always available and is a distinct advantage over some other similar products. A backlit screen would be the only feature I wish it had, but otherwise, I think the VivoFit is GREAT!

This activity band is exactly what I need. I am not into any of the fancy features other brands provide. I only need a simple band to calculate my steps and remind me when I have sit for too long and to record the quality of my sleep. What I like the most about this product is it's water resistant and long-lasting. It's been on my wrist for a month without a break. It's with me in the shower and swimming pool.

I am very happy with the tracker. I like the fact that it has a camera style battery that lasts a year and the fact it has a display that can show steps, distance, calories, time, date, etc. The web site is pretty basic but gives me what I need. Step count is very accurate. I question the calorie count but I don't care about that. It syncs easily to my PC. Good basic tracker at a good price.
