Customers are saying

Customers value the vívofit Fitness Band's ease of use, long battery life, and accurate step and sleep tracking capabilities. Many appreciate its water resistance and the affordable price point. However, some users mention challenges with automatic syncing and the lack of a heart rate monitor. A few also noted that the device's size may not be suitable for all users.

    Great product

I bought this on sale right before Christmas and I love it. I have a desk job so the red bar is great in letting me know when I've been sitting too long. The vivofit makes a new goal for you every day which is very encouraging. I always want to beat my new goal and keep my streak going. I love the sleep feature. It lets me know how much I move around at night and now I know why I'm so tired in the morning. There is a graph showing the time you went to sleep and woke up, and how much movement you had during the night. The only downfall I see is that sometimes if the arm the vivofit is on is not moving, it won't calculate the steps. For instance, I ran up and down the hall pushing my nephew in a car for 20 minutes but didn't get one step added to my total. On the other hand, scrambling eggs in the morning gives me about 300 steps so I guess it equals itself out. Overall I think it's a great product.

    Basic Fitness tracker

I wanted a fitness tracker that would give results of my steps and my sleep, overall I am very happy with the Garmin Vivo fit. out of the box it comes with two bands, one for smaller wrist, plus it's water proof for swimming, although it doesn't track your time in the pool. you can sync by app on your phone or by computer, I like the computer program which is easy to download and graphs help to read results, I also use fitness pal that works alongside the Vivo fit, very comfortable band, I wear 24 hours and no problems with this product, a nice entry level tracker.

I have had my vivofit for a week now and really like it. I read many reviews that had negative things to say about the band not being secure. I have not found this to be the case. I have not taken the device off and it has not fallen off either. I work in a hospital and am constantly putting surgical gloves on and pulling them off...no problem. Idid my yard work with it on yesterday...no problem. I wish it had an alarm to let me know when I reached my goal. I really like that I do not have to charge it either ! I am satisfied at this time and would recommend it to a friend.

Sold my fit bit to a friend and bought this after seeing another friend's Vivofit. I love that you don't have to charge it and it has a watch on it too. Really motivates me to get my steps in for the day!

Thank you for your review, Peggy.

In some situations, the vívofit will not record steps, as it is looking for a natural walking movement. Please visit the following FAQ article for more information on this: http://bit.ly/1vHEFYc

A custom step length can be set to improve the overall accuracy of the vívofit. For instructions on how to set this, please visit the following FAQ: http://bit.ly/1MUpBCp

For further assistance with this, please contact Garmin Customer Care: http://j.mp/GRMNSupport

    Good tracker with some quirks

I had a Jawbone Up 24 before this and I am wearing both to compare. The Garmin always seems to think I have taken more steps in a day than does the Up. I like the fact that there is a visible face to the device and that it doubles as a watch. I don't like the tiny USB dongle included so you can sync it to a PC - it is so easy to lose! I just sync to my phone. The Garmin connect app is very detailed but also takes some time to sync to a mobile and set up via Garmin connect. Sometimes I have to put the watch on sync a few times before my phone pairs up with it. Aside from that I would certainly buy it again, especially at the sale price of $49.

I like this device for a couple of reasons. I am not a health or fitness guru, however looking at this device reminds me that it is time to get moving, if I have been sitting too long. Good since I work a desk job. I love looking at my sleeping habits.

    Vivofit band

Bought this band for my wife on Black Friday. She had the up, but hated that the steps, time, date, etc... were not shown on the band itself. She likes that she can see how many steps she has taken without connecting to her phone. She also likes the fact there are different bands that she can accessorize her outfit.

Okay first of best band I have purchased. It does exactly what I need steps overall calories and it never dies on me that's the best. Plus it is simple to operate doesn't do notification alerts but that's fine I don't need that when I am working out, that's my me time. Overall excellent product!

Purchased this Garmin Viviofit for a family member who was looking for a wearable fitness tracker, and they have absolutely fallen in love with the Viviofit. The long battery life and non-flashy appearance of the device make it a perfect companion to track activity and help get in shape.

Easy to see up, simple to use. Hasn't fallen off my wrist like other reviews have claimed. Wish you could do a little more with the app but interesting to see step patterns over days and sleep patterns.

Read Manual or call Garmin support before return

GPS, NO. Waterproof, YES. those who give this less than four stars don't read the manual. I don't either but Garmin support staff are awesome. tablets work better than PC for sync. device tracks movement so if you're eating or playing video games it WILL register movement. I put it to sleep when I'm not walking. tracks steps with amazing accuracy. for most accurate steps to miles/kilometers, measure a distance and count steps to that distance then enter results in Devices, User Settings -I did 200 feet and counted 92 short steps due to low back fusion a few weeks ago.- also works great with optional heart monitor ...

Great way to get moving druing the work day

I received the Garmin VivoFit for my 54th birthday. It is a great motivator to get up and move during the work day. It does not have all of the bells and whistles the more expensive fitness watches do, but it works for me- lesser techie person. I bought an extra set of bands so I change colors to coordinate better with what I'm wearing. The band is easy to change out. Its fun to use.

The garmin is easy to use and easy to sync to a phone. It has a watch battery so I don't have to charge it ever! I also like that it has the bars on the top of the screen that light up when I sit for too long and disappear after I take a few minute walk.

Worked ok, but band design is very poor

Purchased for my wife for step tracking. Had no problem with it as far as that functionality goes and liked the idea of the long battery life. Syncing data to the web site through the Gamin app was ok, not as easy as it could have been to set up. The reason I give this a one star review is that the band design stinks. It does not lock on as well as a watch style clasp would. We think my wife bumped it on something at work and it fell off. She didn't realize it at the time and it was lost, never found it again. From what I've read online looking for ways to try to track it down this is not that uncommon. Won't buy another tracker that doesn't have a watch style clasp.

I love this product. It's very easy to use and I like the fact that I can modify the setting on the app on my phone and it would change on the band. This is exactly what I needed. I just wanted a simple step tracker that would have the date, time and how many calories I burn while walking. It is very accurate.
