Anyway, purchased first on 1/10 and couldn't get it to work. garmin's customer service basically said not their problem. returned to best buy a few days later and was talked into just exchanging it. back home, still had same set up and keep running issues. garmin's customer service responded with this paraphrase: so sorry so sad for you. so unless you like the back and forth of no customer service from garmin go for it. I'm glad the best buy folks aren't like that. no hassle returning it and not pressured to try it yet again.

Having to manually sync this to computer and phone was tedious and unreliable. Also, having to use an additional app to track calories made it even more troublesome

In fact if you really want one ill sell it to u for half price because i know i'll never wear it! ;)

The vívofit has a water rating of 5ATM which means that it is water resistant up to 50 meters below water. Showering or surface swimming with the device would not run the risk of damaging the unit due water. We also recommend making sure the band is fully dry after washing or taking it in the water. Being able to wear the band all the time may help to prevent you from forgetting to wear it everyday. Could not get it to work.

Posted .Thank you for your review. As you had mentioned, the vívofit measures steps based on arm movement and a natural walking motion. There may be other options, such as using a belt clip with a vívofit 2 or 3, which may be a better fit.

Fit great, but very inacurate step count. Would add steps while standing in kitchen prepping food but not as I walked from room to room. Might be good for someone who runs or walks on a track but not for everyday activity tracking. Product was returned. Gave 1 star for fit.

Poor product

Constant attempts to sync were met with " server unavailable please try later " message. Yet wife's vivofit synced every time. Her vivofit is still working, I went to a fitbit charge hr and have not looked back.

Other fitness devices seem to work out of the box. The wrist band is uncomfortable and can be difficult to put on and remove.Too high a price for such inaccuracy.

It showed light black around the edges, a dirty look. It didn't stay the pretty purple color after just a few wears . Unhappy and returning!
