If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. This one works great and there is very little difference in cooking time between the 1100 watt and the 950 watt. We also bought this model because it has an interior light which is hard to find in smaller microwaves.

Store refused to recycle old micro. New micro melted butter like a champ. Woohoo! We'll have to drive, again, to another location to recycle micro.
