I use it mostly to worm up food and cook vegetables. I also considered LG but this one was on sale and I decided to save $20. So far I am satisfied with it. Potato cooking time is for average size potatoes.

Posted .Hello Kimberly - thank you for providing your feedback regarding your new microwave. We're glad it is running great and is a great size. It is easiest to open the door by pressing the center of the door latch release. When pressing in areas off center and further from center, the door latch is more difficult to operate. The wattage was a bit short of what I wanted, but it works great. The panel was similar to my old brand so it was easy for my parents to get used to it again.

Since the 12-month manufacturer warranty had expired, my only recourse was to pay Best Buy $31 to check and fix it. Apparently, they did not detect any problems. I picked up the microwave and within 2 weeks sparks started flying again. I used to trust GE products; I no longer do. Don't waste your time with this microwave. It is useless.

There should be specific instructions printed on plastic insulations that are to be removed prior to initial use.

Have not used a lot, mostly heating up something. so far the only thing i don't like is how loud opening/closing the door is. My GE I had before this one, finally died after nearly 20 yrs. the door was very quiet.

Moved to a place that had no microwave so I ordered a he and am very happy with it. It sits on top of my fridge and I will order a rolling cart next. Can't put it on counter, just too small.
