Both died after a little over 1 year, with normal use. So, just past the warranty period. I purchased the current one to replace the first one. This is the last GE anything I will purchase -- I encourage you all to anyone else needing a microwave to look at other brands.

Terrible microwave

It has been a month now without a microwave. It should have been replaced....not repaired since it needed a new door, switch box and latch. Very very poor product...so disappointed in GE, especially how they take care of consumers.
