Product works pretty well, but it it has a problem maintaining recommended temperatures in the refrigerator and the freezer . If I set the temperature dials to the recommended settings ("3" in both chambers), the temperatures in both the freezer and the refrigerator are too high. In order to achieve the recommended temperatures (37 F for refrigerator; 0 F for freezer ), I have to set the dials to "4."

Bought for parents garage. Took a while to cool, but parents haven't complained, and that's saying something.

Purchased the 1st in July of 2025. Exchanged it because the refrigerator and freezer temps kept dropping even after adjusting the knobs to the max temp. Held onto the unit for nearly 60 days (courtesy of the membership) The 2nd arrived in Sept and is showing signs similar to the initial unit. Freezer isn’t staying cold. Ice packs are the sure giveaway that the unit isn’t freezing them, at all. GE doesn’t make products like they used to. Similarly, other manufacturers in competition are also making subpar products. Mass produced, low quality parts and tech, cheap materials. It’s one thing that the units don’t last 20 years like they used to but now, they don’t even last a full year. I don’t know how many times I’m going to have to keep exchanging this unit. With the membership ($49/yr), I can exchange this unit every 60 days but the hassle that comes along with that just isn’t worth the product. Manufacturers couldn’t give a care. Best Buy is simply the vendor, the manufacturer. Best Buy stands behind the consumer and are left with having to continue exchanging faulty products. I love GE products of shall I say… I used to. Not many other options for garage ready refrigerators. Frigidaire is completely garbage. The generic brands are no better. Spending a lot for a garage refrigerator just isn’t worth it and the quality of a name brand, American made, reputable company just doesn’t stand up against foreign products. I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS UNIT & it’s similar competitors.

Garage ready refrigerator is perfect gf or the garage

I've had GE Refrigerators exclusively for years and years, which is why I bought this one. I was very surprised to see the glass shelves sag when I put a number of gallon containers on the top shelf. I called GE and they said the shelves were only rated for about 50 pounds, which translates to about 6 gallons of liquid, while there is easily room for 10 gallons. In all my years of putting away groceries, I have never had to count gallons before putting them into the refrigerator. The shelves are simply flimsy and cheap and could have easily been designed for the strength required to fully utilize the available cubic footage available. GE did not seem concerned, but I am very disappointed ... in the refrigerator as well as with GE's response.

Perfect for what i needed for my garage, no frills refrigerator

Great refrigerator. Needed to replace the 20+ year old one. Old fashion up and down with no ice or water is perfect for the garage and increases the space without those unused extras.

The freezer is really roomy. I like it. I wasn't sure about this when I first ordered it but when it was delivered, I immediately knew I made the right purchase. I recommend this fridge.

Great refrigerator, it was easy to set up and spacious. It was a good price and value for the money and made a great second refrigerator for our basement.

Looks nice and working fine after a week or so. Delivery date was moved but that's the world we live in. Still waiting for matching freezer

The refrigerator is great. Very roomy inside . The freezer is also very spacious. It looks great however it is not finger print resistant like advertised. Also Best Buy did not level it leaving the door swinging open if not closer . Two service appointments where made and both times a no show . The fridge is great . I would not buy a big appliance from Best Buy again.

I purchased a GE-21.9 Cu. Ft Top Freezer Fridge for a rental property. The tenant is quite happy with the new fridge. They took the old fridge away and set up the new fridge.

Works well in the garage in Michigan - it's cold here (has been below freezing in the garage) and things are working well. Some squeaking of drawers and whatnot but otherwise things are good. Happy with it.

My refrigerator is good but the whole process of delivery and installation was the worst.

Replaced a fancy fridge with so many extra features that included extra problems and always seemed to spring a leak. Simple is sometimes better
