I should have listened to the negative reviews but this is the only fridge I could find in black that would fit in the smaller space in my new house. No matter what settings you have it set at it wont get colder than 40 on the middle shelf and 41 in the drawers. In the full manual that you can only download online it says to keep it at 34-40 degrees, so it should be able to get close to 34 degrees. It also takes forever to get back down to the 40ish degree mark after you have the door open for a minute putting groceries away. Milk spoils before the expiration date constantly and shredded cheese gets all clumped together. A repairman for GE came out while I was working and told my wife that it is working fine, and if you set it to the warmer temperature, it'll get colder. That we had it set too cold. Really? He set it back down to the middle range which is where we started out with it anyways, and by the time I got off work it was 45 degrees in there. Make sure you have the opportunity to test it right away before the return window ends. I bought it a few weeks ahead of time before we moved into our new house and had it out in the garage till two days before we moved in so the return window closed. I wouldnt reccomend this refrigerator as its not worth the risk to find out if you'll get a defective one or not. You would think with that many negative reviews on it, not cooling they would have had a recall on this thing by now, and/or stopped making it, but.I guess the rewards outweigh the risks to them.

does not keep as cold as i like for a gararge refrigerator. it is acceptable. freezer is good

I bought it for the garage. The only issue I have is the placement of the 4 brackets the glass shelves sit on. This fridge comes with 3 glass shelves. Due to the placement of the 4 brackets, by the time you place the 3 glass shelves, you have 2 decent areas to place items on and one very small area that barley fits a pop can.

A refrigerator good for our needs. Good capacity in the freezer and main compartment. It is silent and keeps temperature at good levels.

Love the fridge, especially equipped for the garage. That's code for extra cold beers. Honestly, for a garage fridge it is awesome, no bells or whistles but keeps a consistent temp.

This fridge works quite well in a garage. Even with sub zero temperatures outside it’s still functioning.

Fantastic 2nd refrigerator! We bought this for our garage and to be able to use it while baking for a food pantry. It has exceeded our expectations. It holds four large baking sheets for prep and many containers!

No issues with the fridge. Decent spacing to keep all our groceries in.

Nice medium sized refridgerator. Poor access to freezer temperature control which is located at the bottom rear of freezer compartment.

This “garage ready” refrigerator is even better than we expected, and we are hoping it will last 21 years like the one it is replacing!
