The description shows it’s great for a medium sized room But it does not cool a medium sized room and the BTU for this Portable Air Conditioner is 8,500 ASHRAE (5,600 SACC) BTU.

I’m sad though that I didn’t wait for Best Buy to deliver as I did the work myself and hurt myself.

I’ve had this sitting in the box for about three weeks before I actually used it, I have a small room and it really does not cool the room like it should , the temperature says 64 but it feels more like 84 I’m not sure with the issue is with that but if you can spend some extra cash and get something better I’d say go for it , it’s decent for the price but I genuinely wouldn’t recommend especially if your someone like me who does not like to be hot!

Bought this for my apartment in Sept. 2020. From the start it never did the best job. It blew cool air, but always struggled to actually bring the room down to the set temperature. If the temp was 90 degrees, and I set the unit to 77, it would really only come down to 85 or so. Only used the unit from 09/20 - 11/20, then again from 04/21 - 11/21. At the end of each season, I would drain the unit, clean the filters, etc, and store until it was time to use it again. However, this past month (03/22), I set up the unit, as usual, and this time there was no cool air pushing through at all. I could hear the unit turn on, and the cooling components running (a noticeable buzzing noise normal with portable ACs), but it was just pushing the air around in the room, like an overpriced fan. After talking with support, both Best Buy and GE, the only options were repair and replace. I spoke with some repair services in the area, and the cost to fix the unit would have been as much as buying a new one. You get what you pay for... Only used it for a total of 10 months, and it is worthless now. Will not be buying GE products in the future.

Very nice product packaging wise but very hard to set up. To set up you need to be very patient and having an engineering degree would be very helpful.

Piece of CRAP! Never ever made my bedroom cooler, ran for hours nonstop, and is LOUD even on the low setting. It's a low price point, and it really was too good to be true. I claimed in on the 1-year warranty on this item, looking for a window unit to replace it

I'm 61 and live on the 3rd floor so when this was delivered, it took quite a lot of energy to hoist all 80lbs up each stair one at a time. Then while installation was simple, the unit roared and sent a small window of cooled air straight up. There was a slight angle option, but wasn't much. I exchanged this for a small 150sq ft window unit which does a way better job to cool my space. The mobile AC is a good idea, but didn't cool my space very well at all.

First time i give GE an ok review. AC barely cools my livingroom. Sad well know name. My insignia ac does wayy better.
