It would blow with a lot of force then it would slow down. It would blow water out and I would keep emptying the hose to make sure it wasn’t full. I did reach out to the manufacturer because Best Buy said I was past their 15 days for a return. The manufacturer offered to Exchange the item.

Terrible Cooling & Terrible Best Buy Service

The room this unit is in is less than 100 sq. ft, which is under the advertised 250 sq.ft. It does an absolutely terrible job at cooling this room on 90+ degree days (which is exactly what I purchased it for -_- ). So I paid over $400 for this crap appliance, plus the 2-year geek squad protection plan at checkout, as I was told it would protect the purchase after the 30 day warranty. NOW THEY WON'T ALLOW AN EXCHANGE OR RETURN, despite the protection plan....really, Best Buy?! Word of advice: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I bought this to cool a very small room I use as my office. I have only had 2 years and it can't even cool the room in the afternoons. It's pretty miserable actually...and thats with a ceiling fan also. Of course GE only offers a 1 year warranty, so I am out of luck.

It does lower the temperature in our 200 sq’ room but it’s certainly not cool in the room and runs constantly. Window kit requires tape to seal effectively

For the best help, we recommend the following tips: 1) Make sure the air conditioner is properly sized for the room. 2) Check to make sure nothing is blocking the front of the air conditioner. When the unit is blocked by curtains, blinds, or furniture, the air flow is restricted and cooling performance will be affected. 3) Consider the temperature of the room when the air conditioner was first turned on. If the room was very hot it will take longer to cool the room. 4) Check the thermostat setting. The highest setting will provide maximum cooling.
