Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a little portable AC unit (about 50 lbs) so I didn't expect it to cool my entire home or even my entire living room (I have very vaulted ceilings that are hard to cool). I was looking for something like "personal cooling machine" that would keep the area where I am relaxing nice and cold - and that's what this does! I position it near me in the living room and I can sit comfortably with an icy breeze blowing on me. Also, it's quieter (and sleeker!) than all other portable AC units I've seen or used, making it perfect to use in the bedroom at night. This a great value for a powerful little AC unit that will keep you cool as long as you are situated near it, but may not cool your entire room or home. I personally love it!

I used it sparingly, only on very hot days, and it worked great, cooling down the small room I had it in. Out of the blue on a day when its 97 degrees, it stopped working. The fan still works and at times it sounds like the ac is working (different sound from just the fan and hot air is being expelled out of the window its connected to), but no cold air is coming out (only uncooled air comes out as if the fan mode were on). I cleaned the filters, although there was nothing in them, and went through the trouble shooting checklist, but nothing makes the ac work. From what I've read, it seems like the compressor no longer works. There was no warning, just all of a sudden it didn't emit cool air. This is extremely disappointing, and I would like to know how to get my money back.

DON'T BUY! DEFECTIVE UNIT.

I bought this unit for my bed room (normal bed room size not a master) due to Miami weather. Within 2 weeks to the day of buying it, the machine stopped blowing cool air. Thank god for the insurance I purchased I was able to get a replacement and decided just in case to add insurance again. Here we go again 3 months later same thing happens, Now i have to go back in and get a different unit because this model is clearly defective. Complete waste of time and money.

This is a horribly designed product

There are screw holes in one piece but not in the other. Then, if your window is a certain size range, the two pieces don't allow you to securely install it in the window and attach the adapter. We have the Honeywell in another room and it sooooooo much better.
