    Faulty Ice Maker & Water Dispenser

    BUYER BEWARE! There is a known issue with the door that holds the ice maker and water line for this model. I have had a GE repair tech come to my home and work on this issue 3 times (5 if you include the times that wrong parts were delivered) and the issue is still not resolved. The water and ice lines do not work. During my last service visit, the GE tech was speaking on the phone with his superior who said "off the record there is a known problem with this door" What!? And the solution? Order and replace the door again... this is unacceptable. I called and talked to a GE consumer cares rep and was told that the refrigerator needs to be repaired 4 times before it can be deemed replaceable. My refrigerator was purchased in May 2018. The ice and water line initially worked but began to fail 3 months later. It is not worth taking the gamble and buying a faulty product at this price point. Go with a different brand, especially since GE doesn't seem to stand behind their product.

    Not a "Best Buy"

    The product itself was great while it worked. The top half stopped working after a couple of years. Spending a few thousand dollars makes you assume that the fridge is of quality material and would last many years. I was charged $250 by Best Buy just to inspect the fridge to find the fix, just for them to say the fridge could not be fixed and recommended that I buy a whole other unit. We almost fell that lie. Some repair guy from outside of Best Buy fixed the fridge with a $30 part from Amazon. It was very upsetting that it cost more to inspect the fridge than to actually fix it. Best Buy almost tricked us into buying a whole other unit. Either way, they made money off of us. Believe me, it's not a "Best Buy".

    Good looking fridge but it does not freeze well

    I purchased one of these in July 2019 and the unit was delivered without a freezer seal. We have had GE out to repair the fridge 3 times The. Freezer just dose not seem to be able to stay cold enough to keep ice cream frozen But ok for ice. GE service. Has not been good. I am force to deal with them because my wife is so upset about the refrigerator. I don’t know if GE appliances just don’t work. or this type of refrigerator simply does not work. I really would not recommend this unit. Although I don’t see others complaining about this issue. Maybe my. Complaint is more with GE service.

    Decent refrigerator; however, I had a profile before and wish I had gone with that instead. I miss the collapsible shelf, temp control on the cheese/meat drawer, better lighting, and the digital options in the door. The quality of the profile was just much better-more solid. Although the same cu ft inside it seems smaller. That said, it is a good buy for the price. That said, I'll go with the profile again next time.

    cheap parts broke after 2 years

    do not be fooled by the appearance , all cheap parts and labor. broke ,leaked freon after 2 years, GE does not pay for any after one year ,paid 2000 $ and repairs are 700. just total lost. garbage. dont have to tell you, I am never going to buy GE again ps they always change model numbers,because they can not stand by their products ,get a new light or such but is the same lousy parts inside.

    Refrigerator freezing food

    Refrigerator was delivered March 15th. Love the look! However, have had it serviced on 6/29/17 and again on 7/12/17. Refrigerator is freezing the food. Wanted to make tuna salad yesterday and the celery was frozen along with sour cream and other items. Cannot service until 8/12. This is a huge inconvenience. 3 repairs in less than 5 months is not acceptable.

    Black Fridge with stainless door

    Please know that this is a black fridge with a stainless door. Every time I walk into my house and see the side I want to cry. A huge amount of money to have a black fridge. I will never be able to sell my house for value as buyers will be thinking "What". I looks like I cheaped out and just replaced the doors of my black fridge.

    Had fridge less than 3 years and the back is full of ice, Had repair man here twice and can’t figure out what’s wrong. Now he just wants to throw parts at it on my dime.
