It’s probably the worst AC I have ever used. My living room is very small and even sitting next to it you can’t feel it too much. I guess it’s better than no AC.

Not the best portable ac I've had sadly. It does provide cold air, but lacks the ability to push the air out further than 4-5ft.

Works beautifully in a small room. Louder than I had hoped, but tolerable and certainly better than going without air conditioning. The dehumidify setting cools the room even faster than the "cool" setting. Seems solid, I think it was a good value. Also appreciated having it brought out to my car and loaded in for me.

A portable A/C unit that does the job well

I’ve never owned a portable air conditioner like this one before. Most of my experience with HVAC has been with forced air whole home units with an outside compressor, or with a window mount unit. I found that this was the perfect size for a small room where my forced air system has a difficult time cooling. In the box you’ll find the portable A/C, a window exhaust kit, a remote, and the various installation and warranty information. It’s important to note that it’s recommended that two people assist with moving the box if you don’t have a dolly for easy movement. Assembly was fairly minimal once you remove the unit from the box. Most of the effort was in the window kit install, ensuring that it was secured enough to keep the window from opening. The remote included with the unit has fairly large print to make it easy for most users to figure out what you’re pressing. On the remote you’ll find the power, mode, temp/hrs adjustment, fan speed, timer, and “swing” settings with an easy to read LCD display with batteries included. The swing mode button allows the small vent on the AC to move up and down, helping to circulate the air around a room or cycle it until you find the right position for the air to travel. The window kit installation included two plates, the main housing that fits center, and the hose itself. Once you’ve fit the window kit, you can simply snap the hose in place, plug the A/C unit in, and power it on. The power plug also has a reset breaker switch included, should you have a surge, the unit will trip and can be reset using the buttons on the wall plug. It should be noted that the unit also has an internal water condensation tank which at times will need to be emptied. This is due to the form factor of the unit and not being able to simply drain out the water to outside. You’ll need a container or shallow pot in order to empty the water contained inside. During 2 plus weeks of use, I only found that I needed to empty the tank once after the indicator popped up on the display of the unit. The manual states that it will indicate full when the internal tank has filled up to about a quart worth of water. Keep this in mind if you live in a humid environment, and opt to use the dehumidifier or A/C function of the unit. There are also two filters attached on the rear of the unit that do a great job catching dust, and will need to vacuumed at least once or twice every couple of weeks, depending on how much you use the fan. Removing these filters was relatively easy, and didn’t require a lot of effort to clean. They popped back on quickly, and the unit was ready to use again after only a few minutes with a vacuum. As the winter has been relatively mild, with only a couple of freezes, I ended up using the fan function more than the cool mode. However, when I did use cool, the unit was able to bring the temp from 79 to 72 in a few minutes, and maintained the temp without issue or running all day. This was in a smaller 20 x20 bedroom, and kept me from using my forced air system for longer periods throughout the day. Dry mode does exactly what it’s designed for, dehumidifying the room. If you’re in a high humidity area, you’ll likely need to empty the internal tank or connect a drain hose that will allow any water to drain as the internal tank fills. Keep this in mind, since the unit can’t drain on its own it will require user intervention to maintain the Dry setting if run for longer periods. Fan mode is just a basic fan setting, allowing you to recirculate the air in the room. If you’re only really using the fan mode, you won’t need to worry about using the window kit, since you’re not forcing the hot air out. Overall, for the price and the ease of use, this is an easy recommendation. It’s not as difficult to remove the window kit, compared to removing an entire window mounted A/C unit. The included wheels make it easy to move around for position or for storing, and the included window kit isn’t flimsy, allowing for easy installation and removal in any room. I’m really impressed with this portable unit, and if you’re suffering from the same “one room” problem, this does a great job solving it.

Quite possibly the worst air conditioner ever. It provides almost 0 cooling ability, it’s as loud as anything I’ve ever heard- mind numbingly loud- and way to big / heavy. Waste of space
