I prefer simple machines but it seems manufacturers want to add as many bells and whistles as possible. I am used to this one now. It does make a lot of noises that the instructions warn about. I also find it difficult to believe that using less water is good. I don't dislike this machine.

This is a top load washing machine that does a fabulous job. It has several water level settings so you do not waste water. It also has many settings for clothing - It does a great job on anything from blankets to delicates.

It does take some getting use to with the buttons but no different than most washers now.

Love this new washing-machine so far in our new house. Works great- nice big drum, just enough bells & whistles, a good middle-of-the-road type washer and in price. Perfect enough for our 3-person family! No problems so far!

When it was time to get a new washer and dryer, I was very overwhelmed at all the options... front loading, top loading, agitator, no agitator. Bottom line came down to I wanted simple and basic. I didn’t need bells and whistles, just for it to get the job done. I opted to go with an agitator, I have active kids and just feel it gets their clothes cleaner. I love the big capacity and the deep fill option. I have owned it for a few months now and haven’t had any problems. It is a little noisy when it is agitating, but other than that, it gets the job done.

Washer actually uses enough WATER to get clothes CLEAN!! unlike the low water level HE washers which sometimes do not even get the laundry wet. If you want the “old fashioned” wash using WATER this is the one. Little bit of vibration but I can live with it.

About 5 years ago, I bought a Kenmore HE washer. It died, and I tried fixing it, but I wasn't able to (until after I already bought this model.) Nevertheless, I am glad that I got this washing machine. Shout out to the guy who left a bad review on Sears webpage regarding a model that he returned and then left the model number for this very machine. I looked it up and it fits the bill by allowing me, yes me -a fallible human- to: *select the water level (WOW) *manually add water *open the lid while the tub is filling so I can add more clothes! (WHAT!? this is profound and unheard of in today's washing machine market) *extra spin, extra rinse, no fancy dispensers for soap and all the other junk Literally, this washing machine took me back 10 years while keeping some of the modern, hi-tech features. This is the best washer out there if you want to feel "empowered" again while you are washing your clothes. GTW460ASJWW

I bought this machine in late 2016 after two months machine wasn't working, tech came by the way he was very rude he fixed it in one month he was here again because the machine wasn't working. He change the board again, ever since the month is just pure trouble now it's just waste appliance in my home. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE.

Love this washer. Minimal noise. Great washing options. Huge!!! inside. Definitely can wash a blanket or comforter. I went for a front loader and Im so happy I chose the top loader. Im keeping it old school

I was looking for a top loader with the stick inside. My old washer was 1 of the new styles with no stick clothes didn’t wash properly..with my new washer I’m back to getting clean clothes again when I wash...great washer for the price no complaints.

Bought this for my mom and dad after their house flooded in Hurricane Harvey... it is not too deep (my mom complains other washers are too deep for her to reach in) and it actually has an agitator to clean your clothes!

At first I was skeptical because of some of the so-so reviews. This washer really cleans the clothes well. Has the deep water levels if you so desire. Flawless operation.

This was a replacement for another brand washer that cost twice the price of this one. If I have to replace washers every few years because none of them last over 7 years with out costly repairs, this is the mid range washer for me! I have had it a few months and it washes clothes without sounding like it is about to explode and for that I am thankful. This does not have all the fancy bells and whistles. I did not need them. It has easy to understand mechanical knobs, not vinyl pad buttons. It washes my clothes efficiently. We will see how it holds up so no 5 stars rating until then.

The only thing I do not like is that it don't fill up FULL. It is the biggest washer you can get with and agitator so that is why I got this one and it works great.

I purchased matching washer and dryer. I am not a big fan of new fancy models with feature I will never use. This is a good solid machine, easy to use. If your looking for an old school machine with no bells and whistles. This is for you,

Very happy to have a top loader back with an agitator. Nice to have control over the amount of water I can use. I’ve only had the washer a month but I am very pleased with the performance. My old front loader left the clothes dinghy looking.

only 4 washes in and so far so great. no complaints. not sure what the noise complaint is about, its a washing machine after all. love being able to pick load size and all the other options. got the 5 year warranty just in case .

Originally bought a Whirpool top loading washer that had no agitator it sid not seem to get the Whites clean enough, This washer has an agitator adn get all of the whir=tes cleaner. Wife very happy now.
