After installation, it didn't work. Ok, things break, I get it. I called GE, they said it would be 2 months before they could bring someone out to fix my washer. I explained it was brand new but they acted like this is a normal. They told me that in the NY metro area are they don't have enough people to repair appliances in a timely manner. The GE representive suggested I just bring it back and get another one. I did that and the one I got to replace it was not a GE. Two months to get a repair on a brand new product, that the worst customer service I have ever seen.

GE informs me that this is cosmetic and not covered by the warranty. GE blamed the hard water in my area as the reason the washer was rusting. I have owned about 5 different washers in the last 30 years and none of them had any problem with the water in this area. GE built an inferior quality product and then makes sure the warranty covers them against repairs instead of covering the consumer for repairs. Will NEVER own GE again!
