I bought this washer a little over a year ago and it does not fill to the top, and it is already rusting in the drum and on the lid areas! I'm thinking I might have to buy a new washer again, it wont' be this GE Brand.

The personnel were very helpful, but it didn't help the inadequacies of the product. Consequently we went to COSTCO and bought a GE of a more recent model and one that shake and shimmied

Does not always spin properly. Washer goes off but clothes are still wet.

The machine is unbalance and move every time you wash a load.

I was not satisfied, the soap collected around the top area.

This washer has fit our needs perfectly! I have not had an energy efficient washer before (always had hand-me-downs), so I did a LOT of research and got several opinions before buying this washer. To be honest, the negative reviews on this washer were swaying me away from it, but after doing the research I'm very glad to have made the decision to go with this one! Pros - it cleans great, the time to complete a load is relatively quick, and it has SEVERAL different washing options for literally any kind of load you could have. Cons - If you're used to a quiet washer, this one is a bit loud (though "loud" is such a relative term). We have never had a "quiet" washer though, so this one wasn't any different for us and doesn't bother us at all. It does vibrate during the spin cycle, but I haven't had a problem with it moving or shifting like the other reviews state. I think that all just depends on how you load it and it becoming unbalanced. As long as you load it evenly, you should be fine! Please note that my 5 star rating is ONLY based on the washer. If I had the option to rate the delivery service it would be 1 star. They ended up being 3 hours LATER than the end of their time window (said 12-4 p.m... they showed up at 7:00) and were awful at communication - the drivers, not Best Buy. Thankfully Best Buy would keep us as updated as they could - but they had trouble getting a hold of the drivers a couple times. All in all, GREAT washer, but maybe consider picking it up yourself if you have the option.

Washer needed to be repaired in least then 4 weeks of ownership. Best Buy only gives you 14 days to return. So, I had to wait a week and a half for the repair company to come out and fix the broken belt

Best Buy said contact the manufacturer. They do not stand behind any product they sell after 14 days. I should have purchased through Sears. A real disappointment.

I have had several washers from front load to top load..Top load with full agitator works by far the best..This washer gets clothes clean BUT IS THE LOUDEST WASHER I HAVE EVER HAD! If you can stand the loud washing sound from start to finish I recommend. My washer is in basement and sounds like it's coming thru the floor/ceiling..They don't make anything like they used to. The lid is flimsy also. But I have paid anywhere from $1000.00 to $500.00 and nothing lasted longer than 5-8 yrs which is the general life of an appliance.

Bought it 2 years ago, already dead. Will probably cost more to fix than to buy a new one. Avoid.

COLD WATER WOULD NOT FLOW DUE TO ELECTRONIC VALVE MALFUNCTION. THIS HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN 1 YEAR. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Terrible machine! returned it. Had to reallocate the clothes every wash cycle as they always got pushed to one side

Difficult to use. Doesn't fill they way I'd like it to. Can't add more water? Can't stop and start again. I wouldn't have bought if I knew how complicated it is to use very disappointed.

the machine stoped washing clothes in a week. will call to see what best buy will do for me.

Have enjoyed this washer. Different sounds, but not an issue for me. I really like the precise fill option! No guessing on the water usage! Great feature!

My front load washer died. My second front load washer. All you paying for is the computer and etc in those front loads. I went back to basic, my cloths come out smelling better. I am done with the fancy stuff. No problems with this washer at all. My mom and my sister both own one too.

I read a lot of washing machine reveiews about different washing machine brands and models including reviews about this one the GE model GTW460ASJWW. What I considered most was what appliance repair men had to say about front loaders, top loaders without the traditional agitator post, and the HE top loaders "WITH" the agitator. In nearly every review the top loader washer with the tried and true traditional old school agitator faired best. Many reviews about this washer said it was loud. I don't doubt their word however ours is super quiet. Quieter than any washing machine I've heard which makes me wonder if the folks at GE got the message and did something about it. Ours doesn't vibrate that much in the spin cycle or walk all over the place. The reviewers that said theirs walked makes me wonder if their machines were properly leveled. One thing in our favor was that the two young men that delivered and installed ours were efficient and made sure ours were properly leveled. I also talked to a representative of an appliance repair company that told me not having a machine properly leveled and overloading it were some the most common causes of needed repair. Admittedly we've only had it two days and washed and dried only 3 loads. So it's "Great So Far!" and so nice and quiet. Note: We are going to be sure to cover all the bases and buy the five year extended warranty. In six months or so I'll try to give an update to this initial review.
