I purchased this new top-loaded, as I have had much success with the GE brand. I've used it weekly, and it cleans my clothes in a short time.

My area has many power surges, therefore did not want anything too flashy. Fantastic washer at a low cost! Also have the matching dryer. Very pleased with this purchase. If you are hearing a banging noise when your unit attempts to spin, this could be your unit becoming out of balance. We would recommend stopping the cycle, redistributing the clothing, and then starting the cycle again. It is also important to make sure to not over or under load your washer. This could also cause an out of balance issue and create this banging sound. I would highly recommend this washer. I am now saving up to get the dryer to go with it.
