Terrible Washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My clothes do not smell freshly washed, especially my special needs daughter's clothes (she gets urine in her clothes). I have to wash her clothes 2 or 3 times. I thought having an agitator would be a good thing, but the agitator in this washer doesn't clean well, and a low water level doesn't help and is hard to override. Go with a front load washer, at least you know your clothes will get tossed about instead of pushed in a circle without going under. I'm going to have to switch this washer out.

Washer has inner cone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over all, it has been great for the past 4 years. I looked at many models and prices before deciding on this one with the matching dryer. I t was the best decision we could of made at the time. I I make sure to do all the cleaning maintenance to keep the odors away. I buy a box of special powder designed to clean this fancy washers and just follow the instructions on the back. They can be found next to dishwasher and food disposal cleaners at the grocery store. It is really important to make sure to take the inner tray that holds the soap and softner out to wash because it will get mold build up if you don't. I use a long brush like the ones you use to clean baby bottles to brush the inside of the area after taking the tray out and sometimes old gunk comes out. It just started to act up a few months ago and when I called, they told me how to reset it but now that is not working either. I reached out to them today and was given an appointment for 5 days from today to have a tech come look at it. I will have to wash at my parent's till then. Hopefully it's nothing major and it can be resolved in a timely manner. Also, when washing heavy items the inner turning thing can start to make loud noises so I stopped washing bulky or heavy items. These have the inner cone and wash clothes well. Very pleased with our purchase.

Failed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It washes clothes so slow and the clothes stayed on top. It never pushed the clothes to the bottom to rotate them. Had to send back. My clothes were still dirty when they came out.

tough on clothes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually like the styling and ease of use. But, now that I've used it for several months, I sure wish I had believed the other reviews about it being hard on clothes and the balancing issues. I run almost every load on delicate now, and use lots of laundry bags. But, my sheets and my husbands undershirts have lost their soft feel. I also used to be able to only iron work shirts occasionally (when I forgot to get them out of the dryer in time), but now I have to iron every single time. The washer just twists and knots everything. Clothes do come out good and clean, but I would not recommend this washer.

Awful quality, DO NOT PURCHASE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much research, i bought this washer and matching dryer. Coming in over $1,300 for the set, I simply expect things to work the way they claim to. This washer becomes off-balanced with every-other wash. It makes the loudest shaking noise and will move itself several inches out of place and continuously bump into the dryer. I would say in addition to the obnoxious out of balance movement, it does a mediocre cleaning job. I definitely regret this purchase. thankfully i bought the warranty- i am on my third dryer unit because the motor was bad in the first two, and now going bad in the current one.

Annoying sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After long research we decided to go with this washer because it looks like this is only HE washer on the market that allows user to control water level to some degree. Others have either automatic sensing (not enough water) or deep fill to the max level and nothing in between. And yes, we are happy with water levels, both automatic and ability to add water if desired. But unfortunately the design engineers of this machine must be definitely deaf! It makes weird, extremely annoying "buzzing giant wasp like" sound during spin. It hurts my ears! It must be a motor or gearbox or both! Why, I mean why they did it? Here is an idea for GE: take Samsung machine apart and learn from it how to make quiet transmission and motor. This machine could be perfect if not for this annoying sound. If it goes in basement far from leaving areas go for it, but not for closet laundry next to living room, unless you deaf like GE engineers. And imagine this: this sound is "normal" according to GE sound samplers for this machine posted on their website! If this sound is "normal" then definitely I must be crazy. We still have time to return it and now I'm back at my research to look for quiet HE machine with ability to control water level.

Lots of features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had the machine for only a week, and have tried many of the different wash settings . I like the Gentle way it agitates the clothes to wash, but I feel like the spin cycle is so fast it spins the daylights out of the clothes even on the normal setting and the delicate cycle is to have the low spin but still seems a high speed spin anyway . I can’t imagine what the max or more spin would be like. I feel it’s tough on my clothes and they are stretched out at the hems and neck. I even used a washing bag. Wished I could slow the spin speed down, Then I would love this machine .

Great disappointment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this washer in February. In September the color cycle stopped filling more than 2 1/2 inches. I have had GE out to try to fix the problem no less than 5 times. They keep ordering parts yet it still does not fill. On the last visit I was told that this is all that the machine was "allowed by the government" to fill. If I put 1 towel in the basket it absorbs all of the water. When I challenged the repair man he just shrugged his shoulders. I have spoken to GE repair many times. Now I have yet another appointment with another company for a second opinion. I also have the problem with Downy not emptying into the wash. Overall I would give this machine a 0 on a 1-10 scale.
