I wanted to be basic and get this device because i like older looking washers but honestly the thing that bothers me is that there is no visible timer or a way to know how long the wash will take. Overall it is good, but i am having issues with the dryer that came with it. 2 months in and i already need to replace it because it does not start.

Posted .We'd like to help you with the sound level of your washer and clarify some information regarding its water level. An unlevel washer or out of balance load will cause the sound level to be louder than normal during operation. We recommend checking that all 4 of the unit's legs are properly leveled. You can find leveling and loading instructions and further information on the sound level in the article titled "Top Load Washer - Wet Clothes Concerns" on the GE Appliances website.

Due to regulations set by the Department of Energy, you may notice that the water level is lower than on your previous washer. This is normal for a high efficiency washer, and the unit will still provide effective cleaning performance. We recommend ensuring your items are loaded loosely and evenly around the tub and can move freely during the cycle to ensure optimum performance. Additionally, you can select the Deep Fill option for large or heavily soiled loads if extra water is desired.

Couldn’t ask for a better wash, My clothes come out so clean It’s very quiet . I highly recommend.

Made tremendous noise in the wash cycle. Started to rock and bang by the fifth use. Also didn't rinse. No way just to rinse without having to go through the whole wash process. Repairman came and advised I get a replacement, which I am doing--not the same machine, but a better one, including a front-loader, which he and everyone else tells me is a better style, kinder to one's laundry.

I also love the "Short Wash" feature which is for clothes that are worn, but not FILTHY or caked with mud. It's only about 30 minutes, instead of 60. And it saves some water + energy. Great buy.
