My solution is to set to increase power, let it agitate a bit and then pop open the lid for however long I want it to soak. It works but i would prefer other oprions.

When you only have a few items you have to go with large water to get enough to get the soap out and clothes clean

Posted .The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. Using the Deep Fill and Deep Rinse options will add an incremental amount of water to the wash cycle and adds more water to rinse the load. This is very important if using fabric softener. Also, be sure you are using HE detergents only and are following the directions on the detergent for the correct amount to use. They can either answer your question or transfer you to your local store to answer your specific question. Regarding the balancing issue, we recommend checking to see if your unit is level. It seems to be made for heavy duty items...towels, sheets, work clothes...the auto fill option doesn't really work and I have had it less than 2 months. But, I only bought it as an extra for construction work clothes.

Clicks, water flowing, gear sounds followed by pauses, and electric hum sounds are all part of the normal wash cycle. We would like to help with the autofill concern.
