Loud banging during rinse and dpin cycle

So much the washer was moving around the floor. I checked to see if the washing machine was level and it was. I repositioned the clothes multiple times and it still made a slamming sound. The only thing I can think was the washer drum must be out of balance or possibly broken. I processed a return and pick up through the Best Buy App. The person who assisted me on the return and scheduled a home pickup was excellent. Best Buy customer service is always great experience.

Posted .Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience. Based on your description, it sounds like the wash load was out of balance. During an out of balance load, the basket will "float" forward and backward, side to side, and up and down, yet it never touches the floor nor is it even connected to the floor. In an out-of-balance load condition, the tub may meet the cabinet of the washer. If the issue continued after checking to ensure it was level and attempting to redistribute the load, we would have suggested having our trained service team check the unit. We hope we can restore your faith in our brand.

Tears Up My Wash

I washed it on bulky and loaded per their video instructions. I wash my towels and sheets on the “towels and sheet” setting. It twists them and rips them. Jean, slacks and sleeves get twisted tightly, too. I hate this washer.

Do not buy

Best buy won't allow me to return and GE cannot get me an appointment for someone to even come look at it until August 12th. Terrible

Don't buy engery efficient washers

My first load was sweats all the same color didn't come clean at all.Wash these item twice ,still look the same. Then wash kitchen towels let soak and towels didn't come clean. Rewash and still look the same. The old washing machine was the best. Technology sucks. Not happy Thanks

DON'T BUY THIS TRASH PRODUCT!

This washer is trash and unfortunately I purchased 2 for my rental properties. The brand new unit did not work on delivery and had to be replaced. The replaced washing machine stopped working again just outside of Best Buy's return policy (60 days) and their total tech plan is not good for anything anymore. I had to call the manufacturer directly and was given the runaround. After 3 months the agitator just stopped working from normal use... DO NO BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Meh it looks nice

If it didn’t break within a month of ownership it would be a 5 star review. A washer without a spin and won’t drain is a problem.

What a Headache !

Not even 2 weeks in and its already not working. Something must be wrong with the sensors. It will not fill the tub at all. Plus the first washes it wouldnt dispense my softner during the rinse cycle. Calling to get a technician to check it out asap.

Regarding the noise. We would suggest reviewing the normal sounds your unit should be making which can be found in the use and care guide page 23 on the website. If you find though after reviewing that the noise is not a normal sound, then we would suggest taking advantage of your warranty and calling for service. Troubleshooting tips are available starting on page 24 of the manual; you can view the manual on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product's page. If you aren't able to solve the issue with troubleshooting, we recommend taking advantage of your warranty (which is detailed on page 29 of the manual) and contacting Bodewell (GE Appliances' team of appliance care experts) at 833-426-3393. A technician can certainly examine the washer for any issues.

Broke down in less than a year
