Best Buy was supposed to exchange and reinstall the new washer, but they DID NOT do the install. I would stay away from buying appliances from them.

I replaced a tower system that I've hated for 10 years. The washer gives how much water is needed for each load. Very easy to use. My dryer is perfect. The only change I'm going to have made is to switch which way the dryer door opens - and, yes, it allows that with ease.

Awesome washer with lots of wash combos
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this washer just over a month, switching from a topload washer without an agitator, this thing works SO much better. No issues whatsoever, it's also very convenient that you can basically do any wash combo that you want with deep water, soak, hot/cold, extra spin, etc. the physical dials are also a huge plus, as you don't need to worry about dry hands not working the touch buttons.

GE - 4.5 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer

The deep fill function ensures thorough washing of heavily soiled clothes unlike other washing machines. This machine is easy to use, not too loud, and executes cleaning cycles quickly. Our old impeller type was horrifically loud and barely got clothes clean or we would have to run it multiple cycles. We thought this one wasn't working, it was so quiet, the first time. I would absolutely recommend this product to others in the market for a washing machine.

You can also request addl spin, rinse, or extra power. Cons: It doesn't drain well and leaves stuff (including dog hair) in the washer. I need to use a handvac after every wash to get the leftovers out. Autosense levels barely cover the clothes that need to be washed. I also need to use the extra power option for everything except delicates

Posted .We’re glad to hear you appreciate the ability to adjust levels and temperature, add an additional rinse or spin, etc. We’d like to address any issues you’re having with the washer. For the issue you’re having with the unit not draining well, we recommend checking the drain hose to be sure it isn’t kinked and is connected properly. We have more tips about what to check for a draining issue in an article on our GE Appliances website titled “Top Load Washer - Will Not Drain”; that can be viewed by looking up the title and clicking the ‘Support’ tab. Regarding the water level, we can advise the Department of Energy has altered standards regarding the amount of water a washer uses over the years, with the allowable amount being reduced over time. Modern washers are designed to use less energy and water, and our load sensing technology ensures the washing performance isn’t negatively impacted. This model does have Deep Rinse and Deep Fill options you can use for some cycles, if you prefer to. You mention you have to use the extra power option; if you’re not happy with the washing performance, we have tips available in another article on our GE Appliances website titled “Top Load Washer - Clothes Not Cleaning Well”. Your feedback regarding the washer will be shared with our product team for consideration.
