NOISY
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The features on this washer are great. It cleans very well, and cycles are quick. However. the agitator noise is incredibly loud, especially if your washer is located near living area of your house. There is no excuse for a washer to make that much noise. Agitator washers have been around for a really long time and were never this loud. GE you used to be my faborite brand, but the Chinese have ruined you.

So far so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this one since it was the only washer I could find where you could manually choose the water level. While it is true, it is a mystery on how to maximize the top water level. Depends on wash cycle, whether deep water is selected, how long you hold the button etc. Sometimes water goes to the top level holes, many times not. After waiting two months for the item since it was on back order, we finally received it. The first washer that was delivered worked for just a week before just completely dying. However, BB made the replacement process quite easy. So far so good with second one. It’s agitation is strong. Hopefully lasts a long time.

Posted .Hello JJJJ - Thanks for choosing GE Appliances! We're sorry to hear your first washer did not go well but glad you are up and running with this excellent model. To achieve a max fill water level, you can choose "Max" on the Water Level knob. However, to help save water on your bill, we recommend using the Precise Fill option so the washer will sense the size of the load and fill accordingly. Should you want more water after this, press the Deep Fill button for 3 more gallons or hold it for 3 seconds to get to Max Fill. Let us know if you have any more questions! - John@GEAppliances

Electric Dryer
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this. I have never bought a new washing machine or dryer in my life! And finally had to break down and get one. As a Scout Leader and overall thrifty person (except when it comes to shoes & boots) I always look to buy on sale! This dryer was large capacity, in sale and I had a best buy reward to use, so I spent under $400 for this dryer!!! Love it! Drys my clothes exceptionally well, has sensor in it and I can set it for time as well! Very satisfied with it! As i have 2 washing machines and 2 dryers in my laundry room, when my other dryer bites the dust, I will look to see about getting another one of these dryers then!

Great Washer for either a couple or larger family
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great value, although, it is just my wife and myself, there are times that we have our grandson which more then doubles our laundry. In addition I was told by my mother and father from the time I was about 5 or 6 years old that you needed some water movement through your clothes if you wanted them to be clean, this washer does a very good job of this.

This is a great, easy washing machine.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great washing machine. Very easy to use. I like that it has an agitator, as most washers now do not. You can select the water levels in this model, which, crazily most models don’t have now. There is the option to have the machine do automatic water level, but I like to choose it myself, depending on the load. There is also an extra spin cycle for those heavier loads. The option to have different soak times, if necessary is nice as well.

Excellent machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This high efficiency cleans better than the other brand it replaces. I love the options I am able to choose for each wash cycle. It's large capacity allows me to wash my son's huge load of very dirty work jeans and our King size bedding. I highly recommend this machine and have nothing negative to report.

Great washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just love my washer. I've had it about a month now and still can't believe you can was clothes in so little washer! It's HE. But it you choose, you can select the water level yourself. It has an agitator in the middle but this tub is huge. It held a queen size spread that its really heavy and never even went off balance when spinning.

Basic Washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No real complaints about this washer. The reason for only four stars is that is is loud, but others had reviewed on this topic, so not surprised. Just really didn't expect it to be that loud. For an old school top load washer, it does the job, and actually fills the water where you need it. Has plenty of options. I have done maybe 12 loads of laundry with it, and can say that it does the intended job well. I do worry that something that makes that much noise will last, time will tell. For the price, this makes it more of a four and a half star machine.

So So
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washes well. Gets unbalanced in spin fairly easily. The start / stop button is frustrating and so is the top door lock that is tied into the same button. There is no lint filter or screen built in so it all flushes down the drain unless you have a wash tray to drain into and put a screen on the drain hose.

Nice washing machine!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, so good. Replaced an old Maytag where the motor burned out after 19 years. Has lots of options for different types of laundry and is very easy to use, however the machine shakes a lot during spin cycle, but according to other reviews I have found, it is normal.

Nice Washer for the Money
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this machine because it can handle large loads and bulk items like comforters with ease. I am not a big fan o the low water use machines and this one still lets you ill it to the top when needed. The number o settings or different types of loads is also much appreciated.

Unbalanced spinning
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the deep fill and many washing options of this washer. Delivery tech said it would probably only last 7-10 years which was disappointing as I was replacing a 35 year old machine which I loved. One big problem is when a load is unbalanced in the spin cycle which seems to happen a lot with this machine. The top is locked so you can't just reach in and rebalance it. The cycle refills with water to try to rebalance the load on its own which doesn't usually work. It takes forever to get a load to spin. Seems like a super weird answer to an unbalanced load. Medium sized loads of towels, jeans, sheets, etc. end up easily unbalanced. Quite frustrating.

One of the best!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer is such a nice one! I personally have never bought a brand new washer because I always thought buying refurbished was just as good. So, when we decided to buy this new set I was a little anxious. Also, we bought it straight from online so you never know how that could turn out. However, I’m so happy we made this purchase! The washer is so deep and it cleans our clothes so well! I fully recommend this washer!

It’s huge!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Man! I can get my GIGANTIC THICK queen sized comforter in this baby, and it comes out so clean! I have two things to say: don’t forget to put it on deep rinse for your fabric softener and don’t forget to only add half softener to the middle thing and then HALF WATER otherwise it doesn’t work and just spews softener all over your clean clothes. Once I read the directions (again) it works amazing :) I do laundry almost every day, and this machine is the bomb. Also, it holds a crapload of towels. Really faboo
