Our front loader broke again for the 3rd, and final time. We needed a new washer quickly, and we were not going to buy another front loader. This has been great, quiet, good capacity, and more importantly ITS NOT A FRONT LOADER!!

I have had this washer and dryer for approximately a month. I have tried to hold back from being too judgmental, but I have to give my opinion now. It is 2020. A washer should not sound like my bones feel when I first get up. I have never heard such strange, loud noises. If you are like me and you are replacing a washer 20 plus years old, it will not sound anything like a traditional washer as you know. Also, if your load gets off balance, it goes into this self-correcting mode where it fills again with water OVER AND OVER AND OVER again and tries to spin out each time. Each time it starts to spin, if it gets off balance, it will start filling up with water again. How efficient is that? I had to stop it after the fourth time, put it in drain and spin cycle, and the same thing. It got off balance, started to refill with water. I was ready to just unplug the washer to get it to stop. After 60 minutes of this nonsense, it finally spun out. As far as the dryer, so far so good.

Unbelievable that GE markets a washing machine that makes noise like someone is squeezing a duck during the wash cycle. Geek Squad personnel say it’s “normal” for new models with an agitator! “We can take it back but the next one will make the same noise”. I’m 67 years old have done laundry since childhood, starting with a Maytag wringer. No machine has made noise like this one. The old GE was a simple machine with a plastic tub. 15 years of service until a $10 bearing failed in the transmission that was unserviceable. The old GE machine was quiet!

I had a Samsung “Front Loader” for the past 10 years and it was one of the worst washer I ever owned. Prior to the Samsung, we had a Top Loader w/ Agitator. Best washer before the Samsung. So I decided to go back to the Old School way. Top Loader w/ Agitator. Clothes, towels and sheets SMELLS CLEAN ONCE AGAIN!! Best decision I made!

My home came with my first ever front loading washer. I love my new top loader because I don't have to bend over to load or unload it. It also doesn't have the musty smell front loaders can get.

We wanted an old-fashioned, basic washing machine. This is as close as we could get. So far (one month), we are loving it. It's doing exactly as we expect with clean clothes and we hope more energy and water efficient than our last machine. It does have a new sound, but nothing we find troublesome or too noisy.

Its big, fills up to the max if needed. Also cleans very well.

No problems with this washer. I bought a GE without the agitator arm before this one and it works poorly but this model is great. It's big and cleans cloths well.

Outstanding ...very easy for the whole family to use ....has settings for all different ways to do laundry that helps cut our cost in going to dry cleaners

Good washer. Did not know how I would like it but it has done a great job. I can even get my king size comforter in it

We were not planning on buying a washing machine however our Samsung stopped working and we had to find one. This one happened to be available same day and was on sale, it has done an amazing job and we actually prefer how simple it is to operate.

I love this washer. Washes well in a short time. With my grandkids I have lots of stained cloths and the washer does a great job cleaning their cloths.

A very nice washer. Clothes are clean. I like the ability to select my own fill level. Overall it's a bit louder than I thought it would be. The clarity of the settings could be explained better in the book.

Excellent washer and very quiet while operating! I was nervous about this purchase because I owned my previous GE for 16 years and was not repairable. I did a little research online and loved the reviews on this machine. This machine is very spacious and there are so many different washing cycles to choose!
