    Machine has the perfect size agitator. It isn’t down low but to the top. Works very well. Is a bit noisy.

    No matter what water level you choose the washer decides on it's own when to stop filling with water and it's never enough. According to GE the items in the washer don't all need to be covered in water to get clean. So I've resorted to what countless before me are doing: I get out a bucket and when the washer stops filling I use the bucket to add more water. My life for the next 12 years. Also, the agitator on this machine moves so slow that it is practically useless. Between that and the water issue my clothes don't get very clean. Horrible product.

      Hello carolfromtx, thank you for your review. We're sincerely sorry you have not been pleased with the functionality of your new washer. The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. Rest assured, however, that your clothes are still being cleaned just as sufficiently as before despite the lower amount of water being used. It is not recommended to manually add more water to the washer. We sincerely hope to have a chance to earn back your trust and business in the future. -Chris@GEA GE_Appliances

    Great price point for a new GE Top loader washer. After having 2 front loaders (and they weren’t cheap ones either) and never felt like clothes were getting cleaned. Nice to have a washer that actually gets your clothing wet to wash. Washer offers a lot of settings, extra spin and rinse options. So far, very pleased. No fault of Best Buy or GE- took 3 washers delivered to get one without a dent on the bottom. Uncertain, as to why? They were are packaged very well. Geek Squad delivery team were great all times taking care of this.
