The "soft close" didn't close softly. We tried to get it repaired, but there were no parts available so we had to get a different model.

My grandmother also bought GE brand appliance no matter what and she swore by them. But like many things nowadays, this Washer/Dryer set is not my grandmother’s. I absolutely hate the dryer, does not dryer clothes unless you use it on two hour long cycles. The washer dumps the detergent into the agitator, clothes are never clean. I must’ve got a lemon. I would give these away but I don’t have enemies.
