My grandmother also bought GE brand appliance no matter what and she swore by them. But like many things nowadays, this Washer/Dryer set is not my grandmother’s. I absolutely hate the dryer, does not dryer clothes unless you use it on two hour long cycles. The washer dumps the detergent into the agitator, clothes are never clean. I must’ve got a lemon. I would give these away but I don’t have enemies.

Clicks, water flowing, gear sounds followed by pauses, and electric hum sounds are all part of the normal wash cycle. I have owned this washer for 11 months and it has already stopped working. Best Buy was of no help and just forwards me to the manufacturer who also is of no help. I set up an repair appointment with GE, waited a week, only to have them call me an hour before they were to arrive and cancel so they could reschedule another week out. I can already tell that this is going to be a nightmare to deal with. There is nothing worse than paying $600 for a big hunk of junk to just sit in your house with no resolution in less than a year. I know it can be difficult but save your money for a more quality brand. And while you’re at it, you may also want to consider a different store to purchase from. Best Buy service is not what it used to be.
