Literally garbage.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Literally the worst washer ever. It’s never really worked that good. Has always had issues balancing out clothes. All of the washers I had before this were very old and given to me for free. I wish I had one of them back because this washer is literally garbage. I will never buy a GE washer again. Bought the matching dryer and it also has never worked right. Lint falls deep inside dryer and I have to regularly vacuum it out. Now takes 90 minutes to wash a very regular sized load of laundry.

Not worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BUYER BEWARE!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE! It's one of the worst machines we have. From the time we received the Machine we have had to call for repairs because something has always gone wrong. Currently we are experiencing once again our machine functioning when we have not placed a load to wash. This is the 2nd time this has happened.

Washing Sheets and Small Rugs Major Problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read this BEFORE you buy this product - I am actually taking time out from the washing cycle to write this review (I rarely write reviews!). Aside from being the noisiest washer I have ever had, you will not want his unless you always wash perfectly balanced loads. I tried to wash my king-sized sheets and 2 pillowcases (not even halfway full) and it was impossible. There is no "Sheets" setting so I tried "Bulky." That did not work and I had to wrestle the twisted mess out of the machine. I tried two more settings and finally gave up and used "Drain and Spin" to get them done. Right now I simply wanted to wash a bathroom rug which doesn't wrap all the way around and it has been through 5 cycles trying - whenever it gets off balance it goes into a "Balancing" mode and fills the drum again. I cannot even imagine how much water has been used and it still won't spin. When it finishes this time I will try wringing it out and have to take it to the laundromat... pretty sad after spending $850. I cannot believe this is my new laundry life. :-(

Posted .Hello and thank youfor choosing GE Appliances for your laundry room. We're sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with the unit and would be happy to help in any way we can. The model GTW725BPNDG does have a Towels/Sheets setting in the top right that we recommend using for your bedding. When washing a small load like one small rug, we recommend adding a couple other small, like items to the load to help the unit keep balance. Please let us know if you have any more questions or concerns. - John@GEAppliances

Constantly have to rebalance the load
Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this washer for about 6 weeks. The drum of this washer is so loose that if there is any imbalance in the load it sways wildly and bangs so loudly during the rinse and spin cycle, then it stops functioning unless I stop the cycle and move the wet laundry around. If I can't get it rebalanced by hand, I have to pull all the wet laundry out and wring it out by hand before I put it in the dryer. I was told by the GE repairman that I have to literally babysit the washer while it is running. I am sorry that I cannot return it for another model. Skip this one.

Horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this machine if you needto wash bulky items frequently, like dogs beds and blankets. It will not spin them and you'll have to line dry or stand with the machine turning it off and on and trying to balance it. Total nightmare. I hate this machine. When it does get off balance, which is constantly, it fills with water again to balance. Wait what, yup. I have had this thing for a month and I just want my old 15 year old machine back.

Not happy with our purchase.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this washer as it was the only one in the area when our old one died. For the first month, it did a pretty good job. Since November 2021 through until now (April 2022), regardless of how many clothes are in the device, it will constantly say "balancing" and won't spin the water out of the clothes about 4 out of 5 times. When it does spin, it bangs around so hard that it scares us to use it. We then have to run the quick rinse/spin cycle to get the water out of the clothes enough to dry. Oddly enough, the basket inside feels like it is loose - like there is no dampening at all. In the 1 out of 5 loads that it does run, it does great. We've reached out to GE for support and will update if they provide a solution to this issue.

Machine does not get clothes clean
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst washer that I have ever used. My whites are now greys. I cannot choose water level so all animal hair remains on clothes. It is constantly out of balance no matter how carefully I load the machine, it loves to walk across the floor. I have been fighting with this machine for almost 4 years. Being on Social Security buying a new machine is major but double washing my clothes is expensive and does not work. If you are looking at this machine do not buy it.

Posted .Hello. We are sorry that the washer is not cleaning your clothes well. We understand your concerns. Should you feel that more water is needed then please select the DEEP FILL option on control panel. Please review page 14 of th3e manual about using the DEEP Fill pad. Also make sure to use the DEEP RINSE pad when using fabric softener. Please check and make sure the leveling legs are leveled front to back and left to right to prevent unbalanced loads. We hope you find this helpful. Geoff@GEA

Expensive Repairs when it Fails and it will Fail
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stay Away! My son bought the previous model. It broke several times and he had it repaired. Got tired of it and gave it to me. He bought this model because it was close to matching his dryer. Both of our washing machines broke on the same day. It made me wonder about the practice of planned obsolescence. It would be real easy to do with a computer controlled washer. I am a DIY kind of guy and found the electronic fault codes on the TOP LOAD washer are not published. The complexity of the integration of sensors and mechanical controls makes the possible faults endless. This leaves a person throwing parts at it until they see what works. A common ploy for profit in this piece of machinery is not in the sale of the product, but rather the profit on later maintenance and parts sales. I find most reviews are first impression views. It is impressive, once you learn how to use it. The wash cycle is longer than a regular machine but this lends to its efficiency. So I understand the good reviews. Remember, the best reviews are reviews of people who have owned and used the item for a period of time.

Leaking after 1st load
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After the install by the Best Buy team, we did the 1st load in the washing machine. Transferred the clothes to the dryer after it had completed, then as I went to put a second load in the washer I noticed water on the ground. Checked all connections only t start the said second load and notice the water is coming from under the machine. Highly disappointed in the quality and was told to call back tomorrow to see about a replacement. I call bull on that, sounded like someone was lazy and didn't want to do their job.
