Posted .Banging noise during a drain and/or spin cycle may occur from the drain hose hitting against the back of the washer. This can occur if the drain hose is not secured properly. Check the Drain Hose Installation Instructions starting on page 18 of the Owner’s Manual for information on proper installation of drain hose, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website. -- The banging could also be caused by an out of balance load. To check the machine, run a rinse and spin cycle with no load. If the washer's level of vibration is normal and the banging does not occur, then the sound was caused by the wash load. -- If those tips don’t help and the washer has been properly leveled, we recommend scheduling service online by visiting the GE Appliances website or by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) M-F 8AM-8PM ET, Sat-Sun: Closed. Posted .We know an issue with your washer not functioning properly must be concerning, and we want to help. If the washer isn’t working at all, you may want to check the fuse/circuit breaker to ensure there’s no issue. You can also try disconnecting the unit from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often resolve an issue. If it may be helpful, troubleshooting tips for your model are available starting on page 31 of the manual; that can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. If you’re not able to resolve the concern with troubleshooting and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 833-426-3393. A technician would be glad to examine the washer.

Noisy and Terrible

This is my second one installed from Best Buy under warranty. It has nothing to do with the installation. The machine rattles and rocks back and forth during the spin cycle. It doesn’t matter if you have one pair of pants or a regular load of clothing, it shakes and can be heard throughout the entire house! I can’t stand it. I’m returning this trash and buying an LG or something. Hopefully it won’t have the same problem.

I had a technician from GE come and try to get it going. He was unsuccessful after trying everything he could including replacing the circuit board. I had to buy this new one in order to match it to my dryer which I had purchased at the same time that i purchased the original washing machine. Of course, BEST BUY did could not supply me with a machine matching the color of my dryer but I had to go with it anyway. I'm hoping that this machine will give no problems!
