We know an issue with your washer not functioning properly must be concerning, and we want to help. If the washer isn’t working at all, you may want to check the fuse/circuit breaker to ensure there’s no issue. You can also try disconnecting the unit from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often resolve an issue. If it may be helpful, troubleshooting tips for your model are available starting on page 31 of the manual; that can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. If you’re not able to resolve the concern with troubleshooting and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 833-426-3393. A technician would be glad to examine the washer.

Hi there, and thanks for telling us about your experience with this front load washer. While we’re thrilled you loved the washer and its features, we truly hate to hear you had an issue with leaking. We know how frustrating that must have been, especially when the appliance was brand new and you ended up returning it. This isn’t the quality ownership experience we strive to provide. If you still had the washer, checking the door gasket to ensure it’s properly seated and not torn, and the fill hoses/drain hose to make sure the connections are tight and it drains correctly, could have helped. Further details regarding troubleshooting are available on page 27 of the manual, and we also have an article on our GE website titled ‘Water – Leaking Troubleshooting’ that may have helped. Hi JOBBILLINGS, thanks for reaching out! We're terribly sorry to hear about your clothing and the bleach issues that you've encountered. We know that this must be frustrating for you. If there was an improper dispensing of bleach or fabric softener, it could be because too much was added to the compartment. Try adding a little less bleach to see if this helps. If you're still finding that your bleach is running directly into the washer before you've started the cycle, make sure that the dispenser drawer is fully opened before adding bleach, fabric softener, or detergent. If you continue to have issues, we'd recommend taking advantage of your warranty on page 31 of your Owner's Manual and scheduling service. We hope that this is helpful! All the best. -Michael

We're glad you reached out. To help with this issue, please run a Self-Clean cycle by selecting the Self Clean feature on the control panel. The Self Clean cycle should be performed, at a minimum, once per month or about every 30-40 wash cycles. Before starting the Self Clean cycle, you'll need to pour one cup or 250 ml of liquid bleach or other washing machine cleaner into the basket. It's recommended to run a Rinse & Spin or a light color load after the Self Clean cycle. If the issue continues, please take advantage of the one year warranty by scheduling a service appointment for one of our Bodewell technicians to assess your unit. Banging noise during a drain and/or spin cycle may occur from the drain hose hitting against the back of the washer. This can occur if the drain hose is not secured properly. Check the Drain Hose Installation Instructions starting on page 18 of the Owner’s Manual for information on proper installation of drain hose, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website. -- The banging could also be caused by an out of balance load. To check the machine, run a rinse and spin cycle with no load. If the washer's level of vibration is normal and the banging does not occur, then the sound was caused by the wash load. -- If those tips don’t help and the washer has been properly leveled, we recommend scheduling service online by visiting the GE Appliances website or by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) M-F 8AM-8PM ET, Sat-Sun: Closed.
