This washing machine washes clothes well. The bad thing about it is that we bought it because we thought that the microban feature was supposed to keep odors away from the inside of the washer, which it did for about only one month. After that it began to have quite a bad odor. We used the self clean feature and the venting feature and kept the filter clean. Those actions did not help. Also the filter is at the bottom-front of the washer so that one must get down on the floor to clean it out and water always spills out on the floor-no matter how careful one is to prevent it.

I've had this unit and the matching dryer for just over 3 years. I've never had an issue with either one until yesterday. As part of the normal maintenance, we cleaned out the filter found in the bottom front. After placing the filter back, the gasket failed and water started leaking from the filter. Thankfully we had a tray under the washer which caught all of the water so we didn't have any damage to the house. However, when going to GE website, I found out that they will not sell you the replacement gasket and instead force you to purchase the whole pump/filter unit for $73. What a horrible policy to have. I was able to purchase Danco washers online from another company that should be the right size (item number 61265W ) I will never buy another GE product due to this money grab policy they have

A good enough washer so far. Our only challenge was marrying it to the GE dryer. The kits we not the same and the people at GE and BB were not in a place to help. A few simple modifications to the drier specific bracket and we were off to the races. The other challenge was securing extra length to the drain hose. A simple enough fix once I learned that the hose on the washer was more integrated than I was used to.

This product is probably my biggest investment I could have made to be in the home. It is very efficient and wished I had gotten it sooner!

This washer is smooth, simple, plenty of specific settings, and is overall very efficient. Love it!!

We bought this for our daughter, and with three kids she really needed an efficient washer. She loves it!

Great performance, value and looks great too. We wash 6 loads per week and this is solid.

Work very well. The venting system is my favorite part about it, it helps keep the moisture out of the door when not using.

This machine has many good points. The ability to dry itself using a low speed tumble is great. It can heat water to a much hotter temperature than tap. Clothes come out nearly dry, even towels! So far so good. Unfortunately, one of the reasons I cost this machine was for the automatic dispensing of detergent from a tank (Smart Dispense). My first tank went in a few weeks, about right I think. Some weeks later I noticed that my clothes were getting stiffer and stiffer, finally figured out that none of the detergent had been used. I called GE and they sent someone to diagnose the problem and ended up replacing the whole dispenser and tank. Worked great for a month or so, then I noticed my clothes getting stiffer and stiffer... Sure enough, detergent tank was still full. BTW I'm using a high end brand of high efficiency liquid detergent, the same one the machine is calibrated for. So one of the major reasons I bought this high priced machine is gone.

This washer works so well! I am glad I got it. This is also a reliable brand. I would say you can probably get similar quality by spending less but this is a sure thing!

Not at all pleased with this and cant understand the great reviews. My clothes have nit been getting clean no matter the load size. I really started to investigate after I had to wash a pet blanket three times and it still smelled filthy, like urone and dirty dog. I could not figure out the issue at first (load too big? Detergent cup not automatically distributing?) then i realized the items are just sticking to the back of the washer and not tumbling. The washer is perfectly level per a level I used to check to make sure it was level on all sides. Took the blabket out and put a coat in and it did the same thing - item gets wet then just makes its way to the back wall and sticks stationary to the spinnjng back wall, not tumbling. The washer constantly stops and changes directions wheb this happens -- i suppose this is the "dynamic balancing technology" (just stops and changes direction?? That's IT? Great marketing on such an unimpressive feature). So, washer wets the clothes then the clothes stick to the back and spin around not getting clean. There is also a design flaw with the back wall having a 1/8 inch crack around the perimeter where stuff gets stuck immediately, every load ...and cannot escape. I tried prying it out with a razor thin mini screwdriver and it didnt remove the debris. Never have i seen this issue in a washer in my life. These two major issues combined with the fact that there was no wifi password on the door to connect to the app -- only a sticker with a code that contained the wrong letter /number/digit combination that the app refused to even let me enter. For an $800 washer Im really upset. I was going to chat with customer care then realized the sticker came off in a wash and is gone forever (likely stuck in the crack circling the back wall). There is a two week return period i missed, as if anyone will notice these things the first several times they use the washer (and as if i had the means to return a 300 pound washer in my basement alone). I only noticed that my clothes did not seem to be getting clean at all which is this thing's ONLY job. Puzzled at these great reviews. Are they fake?

Works like it should. Kept my wife happy. Pedestals were easy to install.

It’s nice! But it is VERY loud and obnoxious. It should not be that loud my neighbors can hear it. I have a video recording but it will only allow me to attach photos.

Large capacity. Washed king blanket without issue. Cleans good.

We've owned this washer for 8 months. One morning it suddenly stopped working, cycle would not run, door would not open. We tried unplugging the machine and could not get it opened. The repair person came out days later and got it open so we could take the clothes somewhere else to wash. It's taken multiple trips by the repair person and weeks without it working and still is not fixed. The repairman has nothing good to say about GE wash machines.

So far I am very pleased with my GE washer. I read reviews that were favorable about the washer. My opinion on GE appliances was poor so I am very pleasantly surprised.
