Defective washer leaking door GE no help
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This washer has been leaking from the gasket since we bouth a fewonths ago. I have had two technicians from GE out to look at the problem. The first time the tech came out we did not know where the leak was coming from. The second time i had video of the leak from the door gasket and showed it to the tech ...he told me it was normal and we should not do laundry when not home just to be safe. How is this not a defect? I can guarantee GE will never be purchaed again by me or my family. Go with LG or Samsung....never had a problem with leaking using those.

Posted .Hello- Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are very sorry to hear you are having these issues with your washer and can understand your concern. Leaks on a front load washer can be caused by soil and soap being left on the door seal after a wash. Carefully wipe off the rubber door seal to prevent small leaks, making sure to wipe the edge of the gasket. Please take a look at the following troubleshooting link:

I bought this thinking it will last long considering its modern and "you get what you pay for" type deal.. hasnt been two years yet and it already failed and I took exceptional care of it because i wanted to last a long time.. I made triple sure there is no more warranty so i opened it to an extent where a warranty wouldnt void.. i opened up the bottom to check the pump for my specific issue and everything else i can check within reach it all seemed brand new and fine.. put it back so my educated guess is the digital/computer part of this washer is failing.. something that is NOT within my reach when it comes to taking care of... i truly believe this is something that is worthy of being recalled but ive called manufacture and bestbuy numourous times and no one can help me just because its been over 1 year... Best buy charges JUST for a diagnostics plus they gave me an estimate MINIMUM of how much repairs would be I rather not say how much because id ont want my review to be removed but i rather by a new washer.. DO NOT BUY i did the best i can to maintain clean... maybe a review will finally get best buy to help me.. theyre a HUGE company .. helping me wont break their bank

I moved and the movers dropped it 4 times and I saw continuous problems after it had been damaged significantly but it continued to work. I finally bought a new one Black Friday. The same but like new again. Very reliable. Never any problems with mold or the door. Nice upgrade that they took off the auto dispenser because I never used it anyway in the first washer

Front load Washer with Vent System

I am giving it 4 out of 5 so far. I have done about 8 loads of wash. It uses very little water, but the clothes are still coming our very clean. I find I can use half the amount of detergent like I did with my old top load machine. Our repairman told me it is better for the machines, environment, and more importantly it isn't' necessary to use so much. I do not use the auto dispense. I wipe the seal after each use, and run the vent system.

Both gentle men were polite and showed up on time. The removal of the old washer and the install of the new one took place rather quickly.

We’ve had it for about a month and the clothes appear to be clean. I appreciate having the app that is able to tell me when there is 5 min left and when the cycle is finished since our washer is in the basement. It is a little tricky connecting and takes a little patience. What really makes this machine worth it though is the venting feature!! No mold has grown thus far and due to the blue rim treated with microban I can visibly tell the machine is clean.
