Bought this washer just over a year ago. Q year and 3 days after purchase, they door lock mechanism faolsd and i had laundry stuck in there for 3 days. Finally rwcieved and installed the new lcok. A week later it started doing it again. Switch the swing on the door since it was a different set of wires and all was fine for about 3 weeks. Now the motherboard is bad. Spent $1000 for a paperweight and now am having to purchase a new set less than a year and a half later. Absolutely terrible!

Bought this washer to replace a 20+ year old top loading maytag that finally bit the dust. This thing works great. Its very roomy and can even accommodate my king size down comforter. If I had one gripe its that the spin cycle is somewhat loud on high spin. Otherwise, great purchase. Ive always had great luck with GE appliances.

It works well. Its very heavy. You will not be able to shift it around easily. My last one would move if you leaned on it. Definitely get the install so you can have extra people to get it into your home. Works well.

Compared to my previous Samsung top model to my new GE front loading washer it’s definitely was a good choice buying it. This is one of the top of the line front loaders and the clothes have less wrinkles. My favorite part of this top loader is the detergent trays and the washer handles large size loads.

I like my new washer. Works like a dream. I like the new venting system.

i love the washer. initially the washer was making a hammer sound when water water was added to machine. My son goggle search the problem we bought the hammer eliminator and the problem was resolved. The hammer was due to my plumbing being somewhat older then the new wave washer technology. I love my GE washer and dryer!

Washer and Dryer Combo purchased in February 2024 replacing a 18 year old combo that still functions properly. Within 6 months the dryer needed the entire drum replaced due to a crack, this was covered under the 3rd party warranty. Their response "it happens", drum replacement would have been$650 if out of warranty. Multiple attempts were made to pay for the extended service warranty however their website always crashed when processing payment. 1 month after the warranty expired, the washing machine now needed a new 'inverter board' running at about $250 for parts and service. While GE covered the repair "as a courtesy" it is ridiculous these $2k appliances breakdown within a few months considering this is a single household lightly using the appliances. Look into different brands if you can, these appliances look great and does work great...when it's working. Can't wait to see what repair comes in the next months. Glad I didn't get rid of my 18 year old appliances that still function perfectly and have had no prior repairs or issues.

So far so good. It looks great for its price. I'm buying it for other rentals too

This is an awesome washer, lots of features that I love. Wifi, detergent reservoir, time saver, fresh vent, just to name a few. Which is why I gave it more than one star. My biggest gripe, and it's a big one. It only lasted 3 years. on the last day it had so many error codes the service tech said it would be cheaper to buy a new one that it would be to repair this one. My fault for not getting an extended Warrenty. But for as much as I paid for it, and the brand. I would have thought it would have lasted longer. When it worked, it was wonderful. If you buy one, I'd suggest investing into an extended Warrenty. In shopping the different warranties, I did find that geek squad had a very competitive program compared to others.

Love this GE set! We switched from Samsung to GE and love it. It is quiet, has plenty of options, holds a lot of towels, comforters, blankets with no problem. We have a large family and do a lot of laundry. We use way less soap and clothes are really clean. We went from OVER an hour dry time with towels to 45 mins. Clothes are done in 30. Would definitely recommend this GE set!!!
