After many years of used, or super basic, washing machines, this new machine is AWESOME. My clothes are coming out super clean, and nearly dry so my dryer has very little to do! With 4 animals in the house, I was used to everything having hair on it. Now, there is very little! The dispensers work great, my clothes are clean and smell great! And it's big enough for my heavy king size winter comforter to be cleaned properly, with room to spare! I'm looking forward to many years with my new washer!

Purchased this unit to replace a GE front load washer that was 14 years old and still working. Wanted a new washer to go with our new GE dryer that replaced a GE dryer that was over 20 years old. Our initial experience is very positive with ease of use and quality. Unit is very heavy and feels quality. Like the new dry feature that should extend the life of the unit. Very happy with this purchase.

We were needing a new washer and our old one that was a Samsung was rusting around the tub. After doing some research, I came across this one and was impressed with the reviews. The features are pretty good and the wash cycles are excellent. My wife is very happy with this washer and loves the smart features it has. It uses a lot less water and instead of softener we are using vinegar. We started this because of the buildup of gunk left from softeners and believe it or not, there is no smell left in the clothes. When we replace our dryer, we will be getting the matching set.

I never write reviews but for this GE washer and it’s dryer I just had too. These machines are excellent in almost every way. They wash superbly, have excellent cycle choices, use Plenty of water unlike so many high efficiency units today and Even have a “more water” button for more. The dryer is infinitely adjustable but most importantly it just works..it drys completely every time. Controls are easy to use and you don’t need to hold the start button for 3 full seconds like on the Maytag which drove Us insane.... and the venting system In the washer solves the issue of moisture and mold associated with front load machines.... after we finish our weekend washes we set the venting system to run and in about 2 hours the entire interior including the pump, drum and dispenser...everything is dry... I let it open for a little bit to be sure then it’s closed all week and no moisture.....these just work like they should... and you can buy with confidence at Best Buy as they exchanged the Maytag's which we had bought first and just didn’t work.... not enough water, lousy controls and couldn’t dry any load the first time... how does it save energy to have run every load twice? Buy these GE units you won’t be sorry

We have had the washer for about a month. It is easy to use and it does an excellent job cleaning our clothes. It is much quieter than the previous washer which I appreciate. I was determined to not buy a GE appliance, but this new one offered so many things that were appealing. It was less expensive than the washer we were considering, but that was not a determining factor. It was a nice bonus. At this point in my life I want what works well and this washer definitely does.

The GE 4.8 CuFt High-Efficiency Stackable Smart Front Load Washer is solid. I don’t bother with the smart features—I don’t need my phone involved in laundry—but that doesn’t matter. It works exactly how a washer should: it cleans clothes well, it’s quiet, and it’s easy to use. Big thanks to the Best Buy manager who helped us out by holding it for pickup. That extra bit of customer service made the whole process easier when it turned out it wouldn’t fit in my car. What I really like is the Ultra Vent Technology. I was worried about that classic front-load washer smell, but this one stays fresh. No musty odors, no extra maintenance—it just works. If you’re looking for a straightforward, reliable washer, this one gets the job done. No frills necessary.

I really like the washer and dryer set up on washer has a special vent system to prevent mold it notifies my phone when laundry is done the only drawback which is one reason I bought it was it was supposed to have reversible doors which it does but I was told when it was delivered that if I reversed time it will start causing issues with it

High capacity. Washes clothes nicely! Smart features are excellent. WiFi notifications are now a must. No more forgetting your clothes are done washing. The ultra fresh vent system is genius.

Had this now for about a year and I still love it like it was new. I love the color and I love that it is simple to use and I really love the notifications on my phone that laundry is done. It really helps me in so many ways.

This was a 2023 Black Friday Purchase for our new house. Could not install it until floors were done in April. They delivered the wrong one, and we waited longer for correct one. From day one it smelled TOXIC…like burning plastic/tar with noxious fumes that would fill the laundry room and make my family and I feel sick when smelling that. It became even worse when using hot water…to the point of having to open the laundry room window and let it vent for 5 minutes before anyone could go in there. I tried to get a refund but the customer representatives at Best Buy said I was past my 60 day warranty period. They insisted it only lasted 60 days after purchase, but it is actually 60 days after install. They would not listen to me, and so I was forced to keep the washer. For 2 years I had to keep having them come out and try to “FIX” the washer, but the smell does not go away. Some washes are less smelly than others, but it never goes away. Added to this is that the washer tears, rips, puts holes in cloths. It also rips off drawstrings and buttons off jeans. It has DESTROYED 1/3 of my family’s cloths. I have some things that are over 30+ years old and never had any problems with washing them until putting them through this washer where they were destroyed. I have had several washers in my lifetime, including the next model up from this one, and this is the first washer I’ve seen to be an absolute NIGHTMARE. At this point I hate this washer with a passion and cannot wait to get rid of it. I’m also upset with Best Buy for gaslighting me through most of this experience. It wasnt until recently that they finally sent a geek squad person over who actually listened to, and tried to fix, the problems with this machine. Still, he has replaced lots of things on it several times, but has not figured out how to fix the problem. I DO NOT recommend this washer to anyone, and I do not recommend purchasing any major appliance from Best Buy either. Other big box stores will treat you a lot better and offer much better warranties than Best Buy. I only purchased from them to begin with because they had a better price on a washer and dryer set that I wanted for my new house. If only I had stayed with the other big box nationwise store I usually purchased appliances from, then I probably would not have gone through all this trouble. I speak from years of experience…been purchasing items from Best Buy since 1996. But, they have changed a lot over the last few years, and not for the better so far. I would rather purchase from the manufacturer instead of Best Buy. It’s been over 2 years since purchase, and now they say I can probably have a replacement or credit for the washer. In my opinion that is the least they can do, because it does not make up for gaslighting me, destroying my families cloths (which cost a lot of money), and exposing us all to noxious fumes that made us feel sick. It’s astonishing what they get away with. Don’t let it happen to you. Purchase your major appliances somewhere else.

Great so far! Cleans really well and love the venting option. Cleans large loads very well and gently. Machine is quiet and really solid.

So far, we've really liked this machine. There are so many choices of different wash types; yet it's easy to use. It does a great job washing the clothes. Bonus is it does not have that horrible smell most front washers get. I guess my only complaint is it can be loud (that was most of the complaints on reviews I had read as well); however, I'd still definitely recommend.

This is my first time ever owning a brand new set of washer and dryers. (Kind of crazy considering I'm 41yrs old) I wanted GE because of past experiences. They have not failed me. Very nice set. Happy with all the features and the ease of set up.

Solid and good quality. Sturdier than our old Samsung on the door closing mechanisam and even the cord etc. I also like the reversable door since our laundry hookups are opposite of standard. It does vibrate a little more than the Samsung in the spin cycle. BTW I thought the VentFresh thing would be a great thing to use till I found it takes 8 hours to run.

It washes well, but only lasted for four years and the main board is dead. $500 for a new board, or $700 for a new washer

My old washer came with the house 12 years ago, it was starting to breakdown, so instead of fixing a machine I had no idea of it’s age, I researched a few different models and decided on this one. I had the switch the door from the default side, that was a bit of a challenge but not rocket science. That is one of selling points for me with this machine. The only thing that makes me worry is having the door on the front could lead to a small water issue if the lock ever fails. But I am hopeful I never have to experience it.
