Replaces a very small washer for this. Love how much i can do at a time, and faster. It spins almost all the water out so it takes less time to dry. Easy to use, alot like mu old washer but better. The price was good too.

We had been without a washer and dryer for a month and needed nice units pronto. When i tell you, we are obsessed...everyone in our house loves doing laundry now ...for real. The app makes it easy to know when the cycle is done. They are quiet!! They get a little louder on bedding setting with the king duvet, but other than that, very quiet! I love the sanitize setting, and that the washer can vent itsself after use. They are on the bigger side, but man they are amazing. Also the delivery crew was so fast, so kind, And so gentle and minful with our new units, and hauled away our old ones. Wonderful experience all around.

Item was delivered on time and installation went well. The machine has worked well since installation. Really like the features. Machine is very easy to use. It is quiet and gets items clean.

Love this front loader sooo much! It’s just so willing to take on the many loads I throw at it. Handles big loads, has many useful settings, quiet, and efficient.

Purchased this unit to replace a GE front load washer that was 14 years old and still working. Wanted a new washer to go with our new GE dryer that replaced a GE dryer that was over 20 years old. Our initial experience is very positive with ease of use and quality. Unit is very heavy and feels quality. Like the new dry feature that should extend the life of the unit. Very happy with this purchase.

The GE washer runs efficiently and quietly. It spins our clothes very well, which cuts on drying. I’m extremely impressed and pleased with our purchase.

I bought this GE front loaded with the belief that it could make foul odor mainly from residual of suds from its drum go away. It is a common complaint of the front loaded washers. GE newly designed feature called Ultrafresh Vent will run after the wash is finished. It has to be activated manually by pushing this button while system reminds us to do it after every wash. Drum will rotate slowly every 15 minutes and stop for 15 minutes alternately. It runs for 8 hours until the whole unit is dry. It seems to dry thoroughly very well. I have this GE unit for just one month and I keep using this vent after every wash. At this point of time the unit is still new, it wont show or emit any bad smell. I quite believe that this feature by which the GE is the only one who made it in the market now, will work perfectly. The only concern are the amount of electricity it uses for 8 hours though slowly running (we can stop it any time) and will wear the motor out in the long run.

Five years ago I purchased a matched set of LG high efficiency steam washer and dryer. The washing machine had to be repaired three times and this last break down was unrepairable. They were very expensive and should have lasted longer. Parts were no longer available. After much research I purchased this GE washer and the matching dryer. They don't have all the bells and whistles(that we never used) but they do an excellent job of cleaning our laundry. Noticeably better than the LG. I like the vent feature on the washer. It works very well. If have a complaint it would be that this is a very heavy washing machine. Get help if your putting it on a pedestal.

We were needing a new washer and our old one that was a Samsung was rusting around the tub. After doing some research, I came across this one and was impressed with the reviews. The features are pretty good and the wash cycles are excellent. My wife is very happy with this washer and loves the smart features it has. It uses a lot less water and instead of softener we are using vinegar. We started this because of the buildup of gunk left from softeners and believe it or not, there is no smell left in the clothes. When we replace our dryer, we will be getting the matching set.

Great machine. Large basin for larger loads and cleans the clothes really well despite the larger load size which is refreshing! Efficient and quiet. The wifi feature is an added bonus as it alerts you when the is 5 min from complete and then when complete.

This was a 2023 Black Friday Purchase for our new house. Could not install it until floors were done in April. They delivered the wrong one, and we waited longer for correct one. From day one it smelled TOXIC…like burning plastic/tar with noxious fumes that would fill the laundry room and make my family and I feel sick when smelling that. It became even worse when using hot water…to the point of having to open the laundry room window and let it vent for 5 minutes before anyone could go in there. I tried to get a refund but the customer representatives at Best Buy said I was past my 60 day warranty period. They insisted it only lasted 60 days after purchase, but it is actually 60 days after install. They would not listen to me, and so I was forced to keep the washer. For 2 years I had to keep having them come out and try to “FIX” the washer, but the smell does not go away. Some washes are less smelly than others, but it never goes away. Added to this is that the washer tears, rips, puts holes in cloths. It also rips off drawstrings and buttons off jeans. It has DESTROYED 1/3 of my family’s cloths. I have some things that are over 30+ years old and never had any problems with washing them until putting them through this washer where they were destroyed. I have had several washers in my lifetime, including the next model up from this one, and this is the first washer I’ve seen to be an absolute NIGHTMARE. At this point I hate this washer with a passion and cannot wait to get rid of it. I’m also upset with Best Buy for gaslighting me through most of this experience. It wasnt until recently that they finally sent a geek squad person over who actually listened to, and tried to fix, the problems with this machine. Still, he has replaced lots of things on it several times, but has not figured out how to fix the problem. I DO NOT recommend this washer to anyone, and I do not recommend purchasing any major appliance from Best Buy either. Other big box stores will treat you a lot better and offer much better warranties than Best Buy. I only purchased from them to begin with because they had a better price on a washer and dryer set that I wanted for my new house. If only I had stayed with the other big box nationwise store I usually purchased appliances from, then I probably would not have gone through all this trouble. I speak from years of experience…been purchasing items from Best Buy since 1996. But, they have changed a lot over the last few years, and not for the better so far. I would rather purchase from the manufacturer instead of Best Buy. It’s been over 2 years since purchase, and now they say I can probably have a replacement or credit for the washer. In my opinion that is the least they can do, because it does not make up for gaslighting me, destroying my families cloths (which cost a lot of money), and exposing us all to noxious fumes that made us feel sick. It’s astonishing what they get away with. Don’t let it happen to you. Purchase your major appliances somewhere else.

Really easy to use, very quiet, super big, I recommend it.

I am very happy with the large capacity size (4.8 cuft) of the washer. I was originally worried about the footprint of the washer (Height: 39 3/4 inches, Width: 28 inches, Depth: 32 inches), but it proved to be no issue since these are 'worst-case' dimensions at top-bottom & side-side). I did notice if you use the 'Quick Wash' setting then you should choose the 'Max Spin Setting' so that the water properly drains and your clothes aren't wet. It does increase the time of the wash to 30minutes (from 20minutes). Overall I've very happy with the product.

Had this now for about a year and I still love it like it was new. I love the color and I love that it is simple to use and I really love the notifications on my phone that laundry is done. It really helps me in so many ways.

After many years of used, or super basic, washing machines, this new machine is AWESOME. My clothes are coming out super clean, and nearly dry so my dryer has very little to do! With 4 animals in the house, I was used to everything having hair on it. Now, there is very little! The dispensers work great, my clothes are clean and smell great! And it's big enough for my heavy king size winter comforter to be cleaned properly, with room to spare! I'm looking forward to many years with my new washer!

Solid and good quality. Sturdier than our old Samsung on the door closing mechanisam and even the cord etc. I also like the reversable door since our laundry hookups are opposite of standard. It does vibrate a little more than the Samsung in the spin cycle. BTW I thought the VentFresh thing would be a great thing to use till I found it takes 8 hours to run.

The GE 4.8 CuFt High-Efficiency Stackable Smart Front Load Washer is solid. I don’t bother with the smart features—I don’t need my phone involved in laundry—but that doesn’t matter. It works exactly how a washer should: it cleans clothes well, it’s quiet, and it’s easy to use. Big thanks to the Best Buy manager who helped us out by holding it for pickup. That extra bit of customer service made the whole process easier when it turned out it wouldn’t fit in my car. What I really like is the Ultra Vent Technology.
