Coming from a 7 year old Samsung set and have had this and it's matching dryer for about a month. Have put it through all of it's paces and have had no problem with it at all. Definitely bigger than the Sammies. About as noisy as any other set I've had. Wifi connectivity works fine and is set up for notifications more than anything else that I can see. Might be more to it I haven't discovered yet. Love the auto dispense system and the drum/seal venting system. Both work like a charm. No complaints at this time. Gimme a year or two and maybe I'll have a different opinion.

Great machine, love the venting system and smart sensing detergent features!

This is a great washer. Wifi enabled and we get notifications when the cycle has 5 min remaining as well as when it is completed. There is a ventilation cycle as well where the machine will spin (no cloths inside) after you are done and it spins for like hours and dry the door seals and the drums. Very effective and washer is always dry after that cycle so we don’t foresee mildew problems like other frontload machines.

1. Switching the door to a left hand opening was problematic. The outer trim was easily damaged when the door was removed and allowed to rest on a gravel driveway. 2. The door switch is faulty, which caused the washing machine to stop working after it completed a third cycle. Because the switch is permanently depressed, it cannot signal that the door has been opened after 3 cycles and prevents further operation. The machine is totally inoperable, and no service can be arranged until 9/8.

These may not be the sleekest looking washers on the market, but they’re excellent. When looking for a set to replace my 20-year old Whirlpool set, I first bought the high end LG model because they looked beautiful and had great reviews, but I ended up returning them because everything came out smelling dirty, no matter how much soap or mode I used. These clean well and much faster than LG. Instead of having a ton of needless options one wonders what the designers were thinking, it has just enough to get everything washed perfectly. I can fit our heavy blankets with room to spare and even those in my teen boy’s room come out smelling like new. It also spins like no other. The first load I washed was so dry at the end of the cycle that I thought the washer hadn’t run. I thought preloading the detergent was one of those useless features, but I’ve come to really appreciate it and wish the fabric softener had one of these reservoirs as well. The set is also very quiet. We have our laundry room upstairs and you can barely hear them outside the room so no worry about keeping anyone up. Overall, I am extremely pleased.

Absolutely trash and definitely a lemon. I've had multiple repairs from 3 different companys GE was one all sent out by our warranty company and best buy...warranty purchase through best buy I have spent hours on the phone never able to get a manager always told one will call me but never does 10 different service calls taking time off work asking multiple times for there geek squad not 3rd party repair companies but always told they weren't available. This machine has caused so much stress especially trying to get it repaired only to be told today by a geek squad member finally one came out that there's nothing he could do because the leak erased the serial number yup thats correct they put it in the worst possible place and now its my fault. I have been telling them about the leak since last September and they did nothing one guy told me to just put down a mat . They have replaced over 11 parts which I had to wait over 2 months for the list goes on and on most days I can't get it to start because the door sensor says its open even though its locked I have had wet clothes locked inside for days because the door would not open now it like roulette some days it works and some days it won't and also its starting to smell horrible its leaking again as well I had to put a pan underneath it so it won't cause anymore damage to my floors. I will never purchase anything from best buy or a GE product ever again they lost a very long time and loyal customer. Please beware when buying such an expensive appliance. It shouldn't be this hard especially buying from a large retailer Shame on you best buy and AIG you are scamming people!!!!

Had this machine since the end of February and overall we’re completely satisfied. The UltraFresh Vent system is amazing; it completely dries the machine so you don’t have to leave the door open. After two months there isn’t a hint of the mildew smell that most front loaders suffer from. The “Smart Dispense” 50oz tank for detergent is really convenient. It’s Wifi connected and uses GE’s Laundry app. It will send notifications when it’s 5 minutes from completing, when it’s compete, and if you leave wet clothes in the machine for more than 30 minutes. Additional Information: -The UltraFresh Vent system does take between 6-8 hours to complete. When you close the door after taking the clothes out the machine makes a chime noise and lights up the UltraFresh Vent button. Just press the button to start the process. If you accidentally leave something in the machine the UltraFresh Vent mode will not run, the machine will switch to Tumble Care mode instead. - The door is reversible which is a rare, but extremely useful feature on a washing machine. - WiFi password for app setup is located on the label inside the door. - If you use a higher concentrated detergent like Method or Mrs Meyers you can set the Smart Dispense to “Less” mode which dispenses 40% less detergent. What does stepping up to the GFW850 get you? - .2 cubic feet more capacity; but it’s also 2 inches deeper. - 1 step wash and dry function - Ability to sync the drying time to the dryer via WiFi. - More color choices: Diamond Black, Sapphire Blue or White.

I love this washer! I was worried about a front loader from everything I have heard. Not only do my clothes seem cleaner, it is quieter and easier to use. I love the reservoir for detergent so I don't have to fill it every time. We do at least 1 bleach load a month and often leave the door open a crack and have had no issues with smells.

This front loader is easy to use and quiet. The Venting feature dries out the inside of the barrel, inner door and the door seal; decreasing the chance of build up and mold drastically! The stability technology helps with bulky loads and basically eliminates knocking during the wash cycle and shaking of the machine.

We love our new GE washer. I've never used this brand before, (Samsung previously and those were not great) and we will stick with GE. I was always skeptical of front load washers but I really like the vent on this washer. It doesn't smell funky, and is super easy to use. I also like the smart dispense feature. And its super pretty!

We have had this washer for almost a year and we just love it. It's quiet, efficient, and does a great job with all different load types. The detergent dispenser is really nice if you have kids doing their own laundry, so you know the correct amount is being used.

I love my GE Microban Washer. It makes washing my clothes easy as can be. I just toss in a load of towels, select the towels cycle, it automatically dispenses the proper amount of detergent (Thanks to the Smart Dispense System), and once I'm done with the week's laundry, I touch the ULTRAFRESH VENT button twice and my machine circulates microban fresh air throughout the door and the drum circulates as it dries out the door and inside the machine Preventing those nasty Odors other frontload machines are known for! It's Second to None!

I purchased this washer and the matching dryer. I love how it looks and it has a large capacity. I did a lot of research and settled on the GE due to the venting door and the SmartDispense detergent system. My biggest issue/complaint is the delivery of the product. I purchased August 7 and the earliest delivery was September 16. That date came and I had sold my old washer and dryer and prepared the laundry room for delivery. Deliver was confirmed by both email and phone. The deliver time window came and went and no one showed up. Not even a phone call. I called Best Buy and they had absolutely no explanation as to why my washer and dryer weren't delivered. They told me I could reschedule and gave me a date another month and a half away! I called best buy again a few hours later and by some miracle, the lady I spoke with got me a delivery date the following Monday.

Upon having this washer for a little over two weeks, I have found the washer is extremely easy to utilize and our clothes emerge very clean. There is not any odor from washer from leaving door closed (leaving the washer door closed is a big plus!).

Best washer machine I have ever owned has all the features I need and more The vent system is the best no worries for mold mildew or any smell Had a GE top load washer before and it is good machine but this front load cleans better is quite and more efficient than the top load machine I would highly recommend this unit to anyone wanting a front load washer Best Buy is awesome in delivery and set up the guys that came were clean quick and made sure the unit was level and showed me how to work it as well Great job Best Buy just waiting on my back order gas dryer to match

My new GE Washer is more than I expected. I find using it was very intuitive. My washer is Wi-Fi enabled so I get alerts on the functions and status of the washer. It also reacts to my Google Assistant. I can ask Google to start and stop the washer. My first load of clothes was very easy to initiate. They came out clean. I love the smart dispenser where I just feel it and have no need to worry if I used the correct amount. The smart feature does all of that. If there is a concern about odor from dampness left in the washer, the washer has a venting system that allows the door to be closed and still be ventilated. This washer is well designed and worth the price paid.

This washer has some cool features. There is a light inside drum. The smart dispense is very nice feature, no need to add laundry soap for every load. Also has setting to decrease or increase amount of laundry soap with the smart dispense setting. You also have the option to not use smart dispense which I like cause if someone in the home has allergies they will be able to add their own soap other than what is pre loaded already. Has many cycle settings which are fairly easy to navigate. Does very well at washing clothes with little noise. Has wifi but have not use this setting to give review. Overall great equipment and very glad I purchased.

I did my research & chose this GE washer. It had the option of sanitizing & the ultrafresh vent system which I use often. Its so easy to use, quiet and efficient. I am happy with this washer to date.

Love this washer! Purchased to replace old Samsung front loader. The washer does a great job of cleaning all of our clothes and the spin cycle leaves the clothes with no excess water. There are a lot of options for different load types. My favorite feature is the auto load sensing where I can just put the clothes and not have to worry about adding detergent! The machine takes care of all that. The only slightly negative thing I can say is the venting cycle takes a long time to run. Since we do laundry nearly every day, it is not really necessary to run that function as it takes a really long time.

Love everything about it! Cleans really well and spins out nearly all the residual water. Others complained about the noisy spin and jumping around -we have none of that. It is super quiet. We had excellent installers though. They made sure the machine was level and then did a test wash to be sure all was A-ok. We use the appropriate cycle and are very happy with our purchase. Satin nickel is almost a champagne color- really dresses up our pass-thru laundry room.
