Best Buy pulled a fast one on me a story for another day. Ok down to it. The WiFi doesn’t work. I was on the phone with customer service for 3 hours trying to get it figured out and the other issue I had. They couldn’t figure it out. And they hung up. Then the second problem was the a/c doesn’t stay on. For more then 2 mins and then turns off for 10. And there is no way to turn that energy function off. The other problem was the window hose is short and the window fitting is weirdly designed with the opening in the middle :/ like seriously in the middle. Do not buy.

This unit in particular is designed for a room that's 350 to 450 square feet. (Oversizing can cause the unit to turn off too soon.) The window hardware isnt accommodating for for mid size windows. Its firts small windows or very large windows.

We value the time you took to reach out and report your experience with your air conditioner, though we truly hate to hear you've had an issue with the model not cooling well and the hardware not fitting your window. We know how much frustration issues like that may cause. This unit features 12,000 BTUs of cooling power and actually works best for medium rooms up to 450 sq. ft. If your space is only 250 sq. ft. that may be the issue - if a unit is oversized for a space it may not be able to provide a consistent, even cooling performance. On hotter than usual days, the unit can take a bit longer to cool a space. You may also want to check that nothing is restricting airflow to the unit, and the filters are clean. The manual contains additional troubleshooting information, if needed. Regarding installing the window panels, the set up is designed to fit any window from 20" to 46". The installation can use only the middle panel for a 20" wide window, one side panel inserted for windows from 20" to 33", and both side panels inserted for windows from 33" to 46". Additional details on installing the panels are included in the manual, if you need to review that. The manual also includes information on your limited warranty on page 15, if you think you may need to take advantage of that. Our service department is available at 1-800-432-2737 as well. Posted .Hello Oscar - Congratulations on the new portable air conditioner. The issue you described is normal for the first day or two of usage. The bucket may need emptied more often when first used due to high humidity. However, after it has had a change to run and bring down the humidity, less water will accumulate. Keep in touch! - JB

BIG MISTAKE. This model has a bug ("feature?") that causes it to start and stop all day long, seemingly at random. I understand the compressor should cycle on and off but I've never had another air conditioner repeatedly stop and start blowing every 5-20 minutes. It works great when it wants to, but I expect a unit that works all the time, not half the time. Oh, and GE "tech support" and customer service is a joke.

Posted .Hello Sandra - We are very sorry to hear your air conditioner is not living up to its reputation. When the unit reaches the the set temperature in Cool mode, the compressor should shut off.
