For the most part the washer does a great job, but there are a couple issues. I’ve owned the machine for about a month and on two occasions the wash cycle wouldn’t end. The fist time the load was particularly heavy so I assumed user error. More recently this never-ending cycle kicked in with a few hand towels. Another “issue” is the self-drying feature: this takes several hours. I don’t know that simply leaving the door open and allowing it to air dry is not a better solution. I like the machine but in retrospect, I would’ve purchased the middle model in the range. This one is a bit overpriced considering you get most of the feature with the lower model.

I went from a top-loader with an agitator to this front-loader... Night & Day. There are certain things I miss about my top-loader, but so far I love this washer. It is easy to use, has a lot of cleaning options, I really like the sanitize option. The venting works well, time will of course tell regarding "smell". Overall so far so good, I really like the washer and will update to 5 stars if it continues to perform this well with no issues.

We bought the matching washer and dryer. The blue color is gorgeous. The extra-large drum is great for several loads to wash at once. I especially like the "time saver" mode. The "bulky" mode is used for blankets and comforters and they come out very clean and not looking like they have aged at all. Very happy with this purchase.

I love the washer but this is the first front loader i have had that gets a mildew smell...quickly and easily. The airfresh option has the machine run for 12 hours which is way too long. Works great though and the app helps so much. Love the tide delivery too.

My old washer transferred an odor to all the clothes that was washed in in and this became unbearable. Nothing worked to eliminate the problem. This could have been caused by water remaining in the machine after the wash. I purchased a GE #GFW850. A beautiful machine indeed. This machine automatically adds the proper amount of detergent to every wash. Who knows how much detergent I was wasting with the old machine? After the wash cycle it has a button for a Ultrafresh Vent and it dries out the inside of the machine completely. What a concept. This is not a bottom of the line washer and the features it has justifies the price. Personally, I don’t have time to dry out the washer after every use. I knew nothing about washers but after talking to both the Best Buy Team Member and his manager I decided this was the machine for me.

I wanted this washer to work so badly. I LOVE the way it looked and I LOVED the features with it's anti-mold stuff but it had some MAJOR communication issues. We did a load and it stopped in the middle of the load and left our clothes soaking wet. Thinking we made a mistake or that maybe the microfiber rug held on to the water we hung the rug out side and kept using it. Then it happened again, and again and then we figured out "life hacks" to make it work. The final straw was when we did a quick wash it reported back saying that it was going to take 8 hours...... Maybe I got a lemon but maybe GE needs to fix the communication issues. I even hooked both the washer and dryer up to the Wi-Fi and did firmware updates thinking maybe they'd have it fixed. I was wrong as it happened again. I moved to an LG model and works like a charm as it should be for a washer and dryer kit.

Works well … lots of features- love the steam options . Love the venting door so don’t have to worry about musty build up. Very very heavy appliance to move but works well.

Love love love this machine. The capacity is amazing. The anti microbial everything is superb. Love the attention to detail. The venting system is great... but it runs for more than 8 hours. I just leave the door open. The light goes off eventually.

Ok so I have adhd, and doing laundry is the bane of my existence. I forget about the wet laundry and I also forget to air out the washer so that there isn’t mold and mildew. This washer notifies me when there 5 left to the load, when the load is done and when it’s been sitting for too long! And then it vents right after. I swear this washer made my life so much easier and it holds so much as well! I usually can get all my laundry done in one big load. Love love love

This unit is quiet, efficient, and visually very pleasant. The delivery staff were very efficient in their installation!

I love this washer! The ability to fill the detergent with 50 ounces of liquid and not have soap all over the top is a game changer. I’ve done about 20 loads so far before the low soap signal showed. One of the big reasons I bought this is so I can keep the door closed and not have things stink from not drying the seal. This washer has a special feature that vents the door seal. That works great. I did try the wash and dry in the same load without switching to the dryer. That setting was going to take like 6 hours. I have to do some checking to see if that is typical. If it is, I’ll never use that setting. The clothes do get much dryer coming from the washer than my old washer. It seems to spin more water out. The blue color looks amazing in my laundry room too.

Possibly the best washer we have ever owned. Hands down, it beats the Maytag, Samsung, Whirlpool. We've owned them all. Cleans great. Has loads of settings that let you control time and intensity, temperature, prewash, extra rinse. The detergent reservoir is awesome. It's great not having to dump, pour or toss detergent in every time. And it hasn't dumped water all over the floor or ripped, shredded, and torn any clothes, like the Samsung did. Honestly, don't have a bad word to say about this one.

Beautiful dark sapphire navy color! Love all the new futures on this washer! We added the matching pedestal. It has all the bells & whistles & WiFi controls. Washer can actually dry a small load!! Very excited to learn more.

We have had this washing machine for about a month and it has seen a ton of use (we have a large household). I am impressed with the easy of use. Our previous washing machine struggles with our stinky teenage boys’ gear- particularly the scent. This washing machine leaves clothes smelling clean. I like the ultra fresh vent. It takes a long time to cycle through the vent, so I just run it overnight every few days. I am happy with this purchase and highly recommend this washing machine.

I am in love with my new GE washer and dryer. Not only are they beautiful but they work faster and better than my old machines. I love the wifi connection so I can be alerted via my cell phone when the loads are down. AWESOME!!!

The washer is definitely a step up from our previous front loader. Enjoy the features, especially the detergent auto dispenser!
