The biggest issue I have with a front loader is the smell and mold built up and this washer solved that issue. Between the self clean, venting system, and easy monthly cleaning method we have had clean smelling clothes and no issues. Highly recommend this washer for anyone looking for a front loader. Another great bonus I have noticed my clothes come out with way less fur than previous washers! I have been spending less time defurring clothes which is a unexpected bonus!

Had it 8 months and no problems. Wifi went out once but simple to re install. Very nice addition replacing the Samsung. Love it and it’s ability to wash very large loads

I have only had product for almost 2 months. It works great and my football player loves the quick wash. love the color and no smell issues, it actually smells refreshing.

I purchased a GE front-load washer and dryer (model GFW850SPNRS for the washer and GFD85ESPNRS for the dryer) from Best Buy in January 2024. The units were installed by Best Buy later that same month. I truly expected that this investment would bring peace of mind and reliable performance for years to come—but unfortunately, this has been one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences I’ve had with any product. Within just two months, the washer began making extremely loud noises during the spin cycle. Something clearly wasn’t right. I contacted Geek Squad and over the next several months, multiple parts were replaced—first the inverter, then the main board. Despite all these service visits, the washer completely broke down after only 13 months of use. Because the original washer was discontinued, we were forced to accept a newer model as a replacement. But this wasn’t a simple exchange—we had to pay the price difference for the new unit and were also told we had to purchase a brand-new Geek Squad protection plan, even though our original plan was still active. On top of that, Best Buy required us to buy new water hoses for the installation, no matter what. We were told we could return them if unused, which we eventually did, but even that part was frustrating and inconvenient. At the same time, our dryer began to fail as well. The display panel stopped functioning correctly and had to be replaced. Even after that repair, we continue to receive error code 29. I’ve called Geek Squad several times, and while they sent technicians, the response was always the same: “everything looks normal.” But nothing about this situation feels normal. I requested a replacement for the dryer, but that was denied. I feel helpless and trapped with a product that continues to malfunction, even after doing everything right. The new washer was installed on April 4, 2025. I followed all the instructions carefully, including running an empty cycle first. When I loaded my first actual load of laundry, the washer immediately started banging loudly again during the spin cycle. I discovered that the machine had not been properly leveled during installation—something that should have been done correctly the first time. At this point, I’m mentally and emotionally drained. I’ve spent hours on the phone, waiting for service visits, dealing with replacements, returning parts, and trying to advocate for basic support. And still, I feel like I’m no closer to a resolution. I’m heartbroken that a major purchase like this could turn into such an overwhelming burden. I don’t feel supported, I don’t feel heard, and I definitely don’t feel like a valued customer. I’m writing this review because I don’t want anyone else to go through what we’ve experienced. This has been a nightmare that continues to this day. I’m sad, disappointed, and completely unsatisfied with the products, the service, and the process from beginning to end.

Love the washer, does what was advertised and sold as. However the pedestal feet were not locked into place and 2 have screwed themselves out and will not stay in place.

Picked GE model primarily for the microban and ultrafresh vent system because prior front loaders always got smelly after little bit of use. So far so good. Lots of features and clothes come out clean. Very quiet machine and easy to use. So far, very pleased with our purchase.

It’s build good and does it’s job well. My wife is very much happy on its multi function and Wi-Fi notice is very convenient.

This washing machine has great capacity and I love the auto dispense feature and the venting feature to reduce mildew smells.

I bought this washer 2 years ago and it stopped spinning. I use the venting option however it still smells like mildew. Tried cleaning it out and change the filters but still doesn't spin and has a mildew smell. I just bought the GE Profile today and hoping that one will last longer than this washer did.

After a month of use, I am happy with this washer. It seems to get the clothes cleaner, I love the self cleaning option. I did that the other night and after that, the vent comes on and no washer smell, so far. fyi It is a very dark blue.

This Washer is Amazing! Our other GE was slight smaller, louder and would easily move with heavy loads. This one is quiet and stable.

Really like this washer. Lots of selections to choose from and it has WiFi. Love the fact you get notifed when its done and how much detergent it has remaining.

This was the third stove that we purchased and finally it fits perfectly into our lifestyle. I would highly recommend the stove functions great price was unbelievable

I purchased this item back 11/2024 and it’s now 7/2025 and it has broken down. I called GE contractor repair company, Bodewell. They came and said that it would cost about $700 to replace the mainframe amongst other 3 items that needed to be repaired. When I asked what caused the problem, apparently if your power goes off it can damage the washer. I have my house electrical work grounded and have a whole house generator. Very disappointed with this issue. The washer itself worked well and was not necessary that loud for us. The soap dispenser does have to rinse out often as it starts to smell.

This washer has been an absolute joy to use! The time saving option, power steam WiFi, ultra fresh vent option to maintain freshness of washer & laundry, and so many more options! Thoroughly cleans clothes and clothes smell wonderful fresh out of the washer! Ginormous washing tub so washing bedding is a breeze! Great washer!! Highly recommended!! You won’t be disappointed!
