    Overall, this has far outperformed my Maytag washer. It is a little noisy with the sling cycle and sounds like a plane is preparing for takeoff but otherwise, it’s strong and stable and our clothes finally smell clean when they are done washing. We have only had it for a few weeks so time will tell in the long run but so far, so good.

    Bearing broke after a year and a half and then the motherboard shortly after. The motherboard was $200 to replace and the bearing wasn’t feasible to replace because the whole tub would need to be replaced. I kept reading that this washer would break down before the 2 year mark and everyone was absolutely correct. Will never purchase another GE item again. I can see why they pulled this washer off the market, probably kept having the same issues repeatedly but instead of doing right be their customers and recalling just let it break down on everyone. Poor quality business.
