Nice big washer take care of business. First ge product i ever purchased

I love the color so I saved for a while to get this. Unfortunately a year and a half after having this washer it cut off and will not come back on. I’ve had a tech come and he search high and low and said he had done all he could do but could not find nor solve. Problem even after switching main mother board. I’m sad because I love this set and the color but a little over a year is not worth the 1300 I spent on it. I wish I could find the answer but even the call center isn’t much help.

This washer and dryer are an awesome combo with 2 exceptions, 1) the signal tone when the cycle is done is not nearly loud enough, I have to rely on the app to let me know when its done and 2) The lent filter on the dryer is a bit odd, its like a taco. Every time you clean it you have to open it up, clean it and then snap it back together again the put it back in, I can't see it lasting very long because of the constant opening and closing. On the positive side both machines do a great job, fast, easy to use.

Perfect for our needs, better than the old one we had

We bought both the washer and dryer due to the reviews and support. Though, we did not expect the washer to stop working after 1 year. After setting up an appointment with a GE tech, we were quoted around $620 for a gut feeling of replacing the inverter. We were told we might as well purchase a brand new washer. After being charged $115 for the visit, the tech left. I disassembled the washer and looked up a youtube video on how to run the BUILT IN diagnostics, and doing so, I found out it was the drum motor that was bad. After buying a replacement for $70, and installing it, my washer is back up and running. For the lack of tech expertise/professionalism, cost and overall lack of quality, we will not be buying GE appliances in the future.

So far it’s a great purchase I had it for a month now

Scheduling delivery and installation was challenging. Once we received, we love the smart dispense system! We have only had for a couple of weeks but believe that the ultra fresh vent system is also a great option which alleviated my biggest concern about purchasing a front loading washer (mold/musty smell).

We decided to return this washer after having it about 11-12 days. While I loved the concept, and it's certainly beautiful, it missed the mark on several major points. 1) My husband noticed that several of his softest shorts and shirts began to pill up after being run through this washer. This was never a problem in either our previous Whirlpool Duet front loader or even our Kenmore front loader that this replaced. 2) Way too much hair and dirt was left on the inside gasket after every single load. It really seemed like not enough water was circulating, as the clothes did not seem very clean at all. I somewhat overcame this during the short time we had the machine by manually choosing a pre-wash with every cycle, as well as an extra rinse. But what a pain. 3) The fresh hold / fresh spin option once a load is complete is setup completely backwards. You have to MANUALLY press the "start" button to get the vent to start. What if you aren't home? What if you want it to start automatically? Well, you can't. The instructions and the manual and advertising all make it sound like you can start the fresh hold / fresh spin option remotely from the App, but that is not possible. The only way around this is by choosing the overnight wash & dry cycle- but you are limited to only using loads with 3-4 pieces of clothing and it must run for 8 hours! Overall I wish the washing options and App would have been designed much better, especially as beautiful as the machine was and the fact that it uses Microban. But, I didn't want to risk kicking myself for not returning it if I was still unhappy a year or two from now.
