Avoid This Washer & Dryer Combo! We purchased the GE 5.0 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Stackable Smart Front Load Washer and its matching dryer in November 2023, and it was a huge disappointment from the start. Washing performance: Clothes never felt truly clean, even after a full cycle. To get somewhat decent results, we had to run a pre-wash, making each load take around two hours—far from efficient. Drying issues: The dryer, even on the "most dry" setting, left clothes damp, requiring multiple cycles to finish the job. The worst part? By February 2024, the washer completely broke down. Fortunately, our Best Buy warranty kicked in, but after multiple repair attempts, they couldn’t fix it and ultimately gave us store credit—for the washer only. Now, we’re forced to replace both appliances since we refuse to buy another GE washer, which means our GE dryer is useless too. I’m selling a $1,000 dryer for $100 on Facebook Marketplace—if that tells you anything about its value. When shopping for a replacement, I met another frustrated GE owner at Best Buy who had the same experience—his washer broke after just two years, and the repair cost wasn’t worth it. Bottom line: Stay far away from GE washers and dryers. They are unreliable, inefficient, and simply not worth the money. Shame on you, GE.

So far so good, make sure you buy the warranty as well. The product is great. Wi-Fi and notifications of when your clothes is done is very helpful.

I have to say I'm kind of disappointed. Bought this set in Dec of 2023. Here we are May of 2025 and I'm having what appear to be control board issues. The door wont open at times (not drain related) and currently the unit wont start a new load, it just cuts off.. Tech will be out in a few days so I will have an update but i have to say I'm quite disappointed that I'm having issues so soon, The 10 year warranty plastered on the front applies to the motor only...

It's has been a great upgrade. Thank you for the great customer service that was provided when we were looking to replace our old washer. Best wishes for this New Year!

Two words - GET IT! I love the two features that this washer has. 1. It has smart dispense which saves you time and the mess! 2. It has an ultrafresh vent that will prevent your front loader from building up mold due to moisture.

The initial delivery of the washer and dryer was not so great. However, when i received more clarification of what i needed to have them installed and a 2nd delivery was scheduled. Thise guys were great. Very helpful and informative. Thanks Charles and Bobby.

Just the perfect machine. Super convenient detergent supply, if you don’t like to have your load inside for a long period of time, this machine is for you. I’m enjoying the app application and most at all, the venting function so you have a clean washer every time you want.

we bought this combo washer and dryer as it was rated so well. sadly it didn't perform like the reviewers said. it was very noisy, and when it would spin the whole thing would shake over an inch in every direction even with all the feet balanced. the pedestal flexes way too much and doesn't hold the washer solid. worse washer we have ever purchases. the retailed swapped it out once thinking it has issues after seeing how bad the drum moves. both did it. plus the seal on the washer leaked on both at the bottom of the door. What is even more interesting, we had the towel load ready to start, we pour some soap into the tray at in detegerent area, and when we came back found it all on the ground without it turned on or ever running. It leaked out its sprayer, down the glass and out the seal to the ground. These things are JUNK! So going back to Best Buy, they swapped with Samsung, no more issues.

Love the unit, washes the clothes very well. And Spins them to where they're almost dry when they come out. You cannot go wrong buying this washer in my opinion.

We purchased this machine in April 2020. It just quit, barely two years later. Repairman quoted close to $800 in repairs, just to get it up and going again so that he could determine what was actually wrong, so could have been more. He said it was the second of this exact machine in the last week that he had seen go out. He said he did not reccomend GE appliances any longer, that most of his repair calls were for GE.

This washer is everything you need! It’s absolutely amazing! It has so many different variations of wash cycles to fit your needs, and my favorite part is how quiet it is.

I have a large family (7) and our last washer (LG) lasted us 5 years. So far, so good. This washer is heavier and seems to be better built. I look forward to getting my usage out of this one.
