I was checking so many washer and dryer, and I almost end up buying the Samsung line. It would be a terrible mistake. And then, I heard from a Pro about washer and dryer. The GE line up is the best to its kind and other brands have more history making those machines. I have been washing my clothes and this washer is great and the technology is great. The only down side it takes time to get know all the features this machine has. I’m totally recommend it.

This washer looks great but is a piece of trash. It stopped working after 3 years of purchasing and extended warranty expired. Paid a $150 for service tech to come out just to tell me the main control board is cracked and the cost to repair with parts and labor is $814, well that’s ridiculous! This machine has not been moved since purchasing don’t understand how such a thing could happen. GE products are not what they use to be! I will not purchase any GE products ever again. The machine cost was close to $1300 when I purchased and to pay $815 to repair is insane.

My machine STINKS!!! The smell is obviously coming from the drain. I had to empty the drain after every use to solve the problem. But then the filter's gasket came loose and drained water all over my laundry room. You CAN NOT just buy a filter so you have to pay over $70 to get the whole pump. Replaced just the filter which solved the leaking problem but now it smells again! Scared to empty the filter every time or I'll have to buy another whole pump just to get the filter. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

I love the laundry machine! Unfortunately I have yet to receive a copy of my receipt.

It so big it fits my bed sheets and blankets easily.

Washer is a good washer think my purchase was the right one.

Love the machines took a month to have them hooked up correctly. Best Buy sends people out who have no idea how to hook up the machines, that you are required to pay extra for. The guy hooked up the cold water to hot and hot water to cold. Left the dryer with a gas leak! After their third attempt I hired a plumber to do it correctly. Be aware if you buy this product from Best Buy. No fault of the product they finally work great.

So far the washer is working well. We had a very bad experience with a very unprofessional delivery staff and follow up to fix the issues. The original delivery people threw out important tools that came with the washer that we needed to change the door direction. They also didn't know how to change the door direction so we had to have multiple people scheduled to come and do this very uncomplicated procedure. It was also delayed because they needed to reorder the tools they thew out. Lots of wasted time on the phone and waiting at home for people to show up who didn't know what they were doing.

I purchased the GE Front loading washer Model number GFW850SPN5RS. It took 2 weeks for delivery. When it was delivered I immediately noticed several scratches on the sides and top and bottom of the washing machine. I took pictures as my proof and immediately called Best Buy. It took almost a week before they could look into the problem because they claimed the transaction (delivery) was not in the system yet. Once the transaction showed up in the system they started talking about rectifying the problem. They offered me $80 off the original price or I could replace it for another one. I chose to replace it. Now I have to wait another week for the replacement. AGAIN after removing it from the box I immediately noticed that the washing machine was yet again scratched up!!!!! Once again I proceeded to take pictures and contact Best Buy. This time they offered me an $85 gift certificate!!! I felt like that was an insult!!!! I told the representative that o paid a lot of money for a BRAND NEW washing machine and that what you she was offering was totally unacceptable!!! At this point I asked to speak to her supervisor. While waiting for what seemed like forever she proceeded to tell me that they will replace our washing machine yet again. I was at work at the moment so I just agreed to replace it. She then tells me that the washing machine was out of stock!!!!!! Miraculously now the supervisor was available to talk to me. Before she hung up she said the supervisor was about to call me. I finally received a phone call 2 hours later while i was still at work. I spoke with the person claiming to be the supervisor and briefly explained the situation. I explained to her that I would like to talk to her at length and asked for her direct number. She said the only way I could speak to her again was if SHE called me back. I told her I would be available at 5:30pm. It is now 7:00pm and I have not received a phone call. What I’m getting from this experience is that they don’t care about the inconvenience that was caused as long as they get their money!!! I was out of a washing machine for almost a month and all you can offer me is a gift card for $85 to be spent right back in their store!!! That’s a WIN WIN for them!!! So as I’m finishing this review I get the I get a phone call from the so called supervisor. She offered the same thing (gift card) and I expressed that it was insulting and that only they(Best Buy) would benefit from that. So she then offered me a check for $165. At this point I’m upset and I’m tired of dealing with them. I accepted the check but in the future I will take my business elsewhere!!! I paid over $1000 for this machine, waited nearly a month and received not 1 but 2 damaged products. The kicker here is that if that machine was sold as an out of box item they would have taken about $400-$500 off the original price!!!!!

Great Deal and far exceeded expectations. Delivery was smoooth and staff were extremely courteous! Would recommend x10!

I love the bulk auto dispenser. The pulley and belt came off within 8 months and now we're without a washer for 2 months while we wait on parts. BTW, the matching dryer failed within 3 months and had to have all new guts installed.

It looks nice and washes fine but it has more options than I need. The water softener doesn't always seem to release, and I've had mine for less than 3 years and just had to have the water valve replaced.

Great washer, highly dependable. Haven’t had any issues. I would definitely recommend this washer.

I bought the combo 4 years ago. Washer: Still smells having to leave the door to the washer open to dry. A lot of soap gets stuck under the door, so I clean that often - we also use free and clear. The door to the washer will always tell us it's not closed when it is. So you have to mess around with it until it actually senses that it's closed. Dryer: no matter what level temp and time frame, we always have to run it on high an extra 10 mins before clothes are dry. Fluff your clothes out, because the very middle won't dry completely.

The Main Control and Inverter Board died within 3 years of owning it. GE support came out and wanted 3/4 of how much it cost to buy it to get it fixed. The product is no longer available on Best Buy's site for purchase which leads me to believe that is why they pulled it. Again, stay as far away from this one.

I've had this washer for 3 years, and tomorrow is the 5th service call. Currently it's in a state where it's locked, full of clothes, and will not unlock. I've paid more for out of warranty service calls than the machine cost initially. Tomorrow is the final service acll, where they will help me open the door, and the day after an LG unit is being delivered. This thing will join its brothers in the landfill, forever.
