I want to love this machine, but I don't. Our first one malfunctioned the 3rd time used. GE tried to fix it but could not so after 2 months I got a brand new one. GE has great customer service as does Best Buy. I thought I had been unlucky and gotten a lemon, but the exact same thing happened to my sister in law. The machine gets stuck in a wash cycle and it can not be overridden so the water does not drain and the door can not be opened. Mine occurred in a cold wash cycle, it happened to my sister in law in a wash/dry cycle. We both lost a ton of clothes, GE does have a process to reimburse you. The machine is also noisier then I had expected. Good things are the multitude of options for a wide variety of textiles and the auto venting feature which helps prevent mold and mildew that you often see with front loaders.

Pretty new but a few things I can say is its loud. Spins a lot and makes draining noises a lot. The air dry is more complicated than the sales person said. To dry the drum it spins for hours. When finished it is still wet on the seal

I went from a top-loader with an agitator to this front-loader... Night & Day. There are certain things I miss about my top-loader, but so far I love this washer. It is easy to use, has a lot of cleaning options, I really like the sanitize option. The venting works well, time will of course tell regarding "smell". Overall so far so good, I really like the washer and will update to 5 stars if it continues to perform this well with no issues.

We have had this washing machine for about a month and it has seen a ton of use (we have a large household). I am impressed with the easy of use. Our previous washing machine struggles with our stinky teenage boys’ gear- particularly the scent. This washing machine leaves clothes smelling clean. I like the ultra fresh vent. It takes a long time to cycle through the vent, so I just run it overnight every few days. I am happy with this purchase and highly recommend this washing machine.

The washer is definitely a step up from our previous front loader. Enjoy the features, especially the detergent auto dispenser!

Efficiency is top-notch with so many smart features it's never become easier to wash your clothes

My old washer transferred an odor to all the clothes that was washed in in and this became unbearable. Nothing worked to eliminate the problem. This could have been caused by water remaining in the machine after the wash. I purchased a GE #GFW850. A beautiful machine indeed. This machine automatically adds the proper amount of detergent to every wash. Who knows how much detergent I was wasting with the old machine? After the wash cycle it has a button for a Ultrafresh Vent and it dries out the inside of the machine completely. What a concept. This is not a bottom of the line washer and the features it has justifies the price. Personally, I don’t have time to dry out the washer after every use. I knew nothing about washers but after talking to both the Best Buy Team Member and his manager I decided this was the machine for me.

Like the deterant dispenser and notification when the deterant is low. Don't like to keep the rinse cycle at max for all the laundry types. Can't mix towels with sheets. I have to remove the sheets and rinse the towels again. Bought the machine for the vent feature. The washing machine stays on the vent cycle for hours. Sometimes, the moldy smell is in the machine even after the vent cycle was done. So, the door from the machine is left slightly open to air vent the machine. Machine performed very well in the beginning but after two months it wasn't the same.

I love this washer! The ability to fill the detergent with 50 ounces of liquid and not have soap all over the top is a game changer. I’ve done about 20 loads so far before the low soap signal showed. One of the big reasons I bought this is so I can keep the door closed and not have things stink from not drying the seal. This washer has a special feature that vents the door seal. That works great. I did try the wash and dry in the same load without switching to the dryer. That setting was going to take like 6 hours. I have to do some checking to see if that is typical. If it is, I’ll never use that setting. The clothes do get much dryer coming from the washer than my old washer. It seems to spin more water out. The blue color looks amazing in my laundry room too.

Possibly the best washer we have ever owned. Hands down, it beats the Maytag, Samsung, Whirlpool. We've owned them all. Cleans great. Has loads of settings that let you control time and intensity, temperature, prewash, extra rinse. The detergent reservoir is awesome. It's great not having to dump, pour or toss detergent in every time. And it hasn't dumped water all over the floor or ripped, shredded, and torn any clothes, like the Samsung did. Honestly, don't have a bad word to say about this one.

Beautiful dark sapphire navy color! Love all the new futures on this washer! We added the matching pedestal. It has all the bells & whistles & WiFi controls. Washer can actually dry a small load!! Very excited to learn more.

It's very sophisticated machine, very easy to handle and very good performance

This is the largest capacity washer I have ever owned! It holds a huge load. Quiet and cleans very well! I have not even explored all of the options like also drying a small load in the washer but, extremely pleased so far!

Machine is quiet washes good and buying and installation was excellent. Large capacity.

This washer is loaded with options and lots of space to clean big loads. Absolutely love the vent system that runs post-wash to dry it out and reduce mildew and smells that regularly exist in front load washers. Recommended!

Works great saves on detergent love the vent mode self cleaning is awesome love how quiet it is and lets you know when machine is done

This machine is quiet , fast and powerful with excellent features the max spin seriously dries out my heaviest of loads allowing for less dryer time. Vent feature is very cool highly recommend
