    I've owned this washer for just over 4 years. It will not complete any cycle it just randomly ends mid cycle. The ventfresh also doesn't do what it says it will. The washer still stinks. I purchased Geek Squad protection, what a joke that's been. They've been out 3 times (so far) and can't figure it out what's wrong with it. They just keep ordering new parts that aren't fixing it. We've been without a washer for 3 weeks now and no idea when our washer will be fixed. Very frustrated by this. DO NOT BUT THUS WASHER OR THE GEEK SQUAD PROTECTION. My previous washer lasted 15 years with no issues and still worked when we decided to "upgrade". This washer is garbage.

    Good--For 3 years, then died.

    I like this washer but it only lasted 3 1/2 years before it stopped working right. These days it costs more to repair things then they are worth, so I have $1000 piece of scrap metal in my closet right now. Very disappointing when you pay more to get high end things and they don't last.

    Awful! When it works, it is great. However, it has required repairs 3 times in less than 4 years. Now it is broken again, seems the main control board has failed. I do not recommend at all. At nearly $1000 it has been a total rip off.

    GE 4.8 cu. ft Front Load washer Model: GFW650SPNSN

    Do not purchase this washer. The first one I received, water poured down the front of the washer. Best Buy brought a second washer out and it did the same thing and the detergent drawer did not close completely. I just called Best Buy to return the washer and they worked with me and will refund the cost of the washer. The process was very easy. I will buy a different brand washer from Best Buy again.

    High Hopes but Disappointing

    I love the bulk auto dispenser. The pulley and belt came off within 8 months and now we're without a washer for 2 months while we wait on parts. BTW, the matching dryer failed within 3 months and had to have all new guts installed.

    DON’T LET THE NICE BODY FOOL YOU. INSIDES IS JUNK!

    Including the pedestal, I Spent over $1300 on this washing machine. It lasted 2 years!! Motherboard, control panel replaced and still didn’t work. Finally told need new motor. Also, always had leftover water in drum, don’t complete cycles, say complete after 4 minutes of washing. Mold and water in dispenser. Warranty claims misuse and will not replace machine. GE please reimburse me with a $1300 check!!

    Had washer/dryer combo installed. Installed washer on wrong side so can’t open soap dispenser. Have called Best Buy and they informed me I have to pay 69 dollars to reverse the door on the machine when they installed on the wrong side. Basically told me they don’t care about my business and I can return my items. So return 3000 dollars over a door reversal? I have purchased all my major appliances here recently but I suppose that means nothing. Better to lose business over a door. Smart.

    Doesn’t clean clothes

    It doesn’t wash the clothes well. Often have to rewash the clothes. If you don’t get the pedestal, it’s really awkward and difficult to clean the trap and get the dirty water removed.

    Broke after 3 years, Best Buy won't service

    Worked ok for 3 years until it broke during a power outage. Best Buy will not service our area even though they sold, delivered, and installed it here. GE won't service the area either and local appliance repair is out of business. We are SOL and will not purchase from GE or Best Buy every again.

    I am completely baffled by the positive reviews. This is the LOUDEST washing machine I’ve ever heard. We’ve called GE out twice to inspect and they said there’s nothing they can do and it is supposed to vibrate like that. Anything falls off the top because it vibrates so much. Do not buy this piece of junk

    Find a diffrent washer

    Baought jan 2021 the pump turns on when washer is off even three days after a load has been washed. Repair was called the person i spoke to said the had to order parts before he even came out! Then when he came out he fixed nothing. Told me the machine said i was using too much soap. I never go past the fill marks!! So im stuck with a machine that i have to unplug after every load.

    Dont be fooled by the cuteness of this washer and dryer set. Once your warranty expires. Like clock work something will go wrong. Stick with the old school sets. Oh and Best Buy is a piece of crap company with horrible products and horrible customer service. And the Geek squad is an absolute joke.

    This washer retains water in several locations after completing the wash cycle, causing mold and mildew to form inside the washer. I was told this is a design defect, not covered under warranty! BAD DESIGN - NO REPAIR POSSIBLE! AVOID BUYING THIS WASHER!!!

    GE makes defective washers

    The washer is one month old and already defective. Technician has to replace the entire suspension system. Machine is causing electrical short in our Thermador refrigerator. Never happened with our Whirlpool. Never buy a GE when you can buy a Whirlpool.

    This is a terrible product. I purchased it, and my clothes never dry properly. 1/10 times they are in a puddle of water. GE repair said everything was fine, but it continues to perform poorly. I would not recommend.

We truly hate to hear you’ve had trouble with your clothes being too wet at the end of the wash cycle; we know that must be frustrating, especially when your service appointment didn’t determine an issue. This isn’t the ownership experience we want to provide for you. Redistributing the clothes and running a Rinse & Spin cycle will often resolve an issue with wet clothes. Making sure the washer is level so it can spin properly is also important. Checking that the filter isn’t clogged and the drain hose isn’t obstructed or kinked may help resolve this issue as well. Additional troubleshooting tips are available starting on page 27 of the manual, if those might be useful for you.
