The dryer was still functional although was taking longer to dry the clothes. We decided that as long as we were replacing the washer we should also replace the dryer. So far I have been very pleased with this dryer and I like all the settings that it offers. Does a quicker and "fluffier" job than our older machine.

We tried the units with all the electronic bells and whistles, but they always cause problems. We run this 7 days a week for 18 months already with no problems.

2 Major GE Dryer Defects!

The first defect is the door handle was installed in the wrong place. The door catch is on the middle left edge of dryer, but the handle is located on the top left resulting in the door being hard to open and close. This eventually results in a warped door! The second major defect is that the dryer lint collection screen only collects about 10% of the lint, resulting in the dryer sending 90% of the lint through the exhaust tube and outside the house. I imagine that this will result in a clogged exhaust system, and many house fires in the future. The government should recall this dangerous dryer.

It has just got outrageously priced due to the pandemic and is getting more expensive (many family members have bought this washer/dryer combo over the years including recently). The price made me deduct a star.
