Works well though the dial is hard to move. The install was not the best. He installed the full vent when only a third was necessary. It also matches my 5 year old washer.

I've had this dryer for over 4 years and have moved to 3 different homes in two states. It works effectively, doesn't use much electricity. It's one of my best purchase of a home appliance.

This US made GE product has the basic options required for daily usage

Within a month of installation this dryer tumbled but stopped drying clothes and there was a puddle of water under it on the floor. It was within Best Buy's standard return time so I had it exchanged for a new machine. It worked fine initially then the same problem occurred a couple of months later and by then I had to work with GE to have it serviced. They sent out a repairman who then ordered the part and fixed the issue. Here we are a couple of months later with the same problem. Clearly this model is a lemon! I am stuck with GE continuing to repair this dryer and when it breaks after the year warranty again (which I'm sure it will) I will be purchasing a new dryer and will not buy another GE product again. I was told my GE customer service they will not replace this machine with a different model. I would have rated this product no stars if that were an option!

Perfect, as expected! The setup crew were there on time.

This dryer does dry your clothes, so it functions as expected. BUT ... It doesn't let you know when it's finished (like my ancient Kenmore dryer's buzzer did), so you have to keep an eye on the clock to avoid having everything come out wrinkled, and subsequently need to run it again to get the wrinkles out. Also, there's no light in the darkness (like there was in my 15 year old Kenmore dryer), so after taking the clothes out and carrying them to wherever you take them to fold them, you're likely to find you're missing a sock or two. And then there's the door latch that takes some muscle to open, and then makes a loud SNAP when you close it (which takes a solid, hard push). What's up with that? Drying clothes used to be no big deal, but now it's a pain the patootie. Sigh.

It is dead. i have fixed it three times since purchasing this dryer. it is not that old. heating element has gone out twice. Now a wire. so over rhis machine

My wife loves the new dryer. It works great for the price we paid.
