GE 7.2 Cu. Ft. electric dryer

I was unable to view the dryer before purchasing because they did not have the dryer in stock at my store. I wanted a dryer without all the bells and whistles so I chose this GE model. The dryer was delivered and we set it up on the same day. I attempted to dry a medium load of towels (probably 5 towels). I checked the towels after 30 minutes and the towels actually felt very cool to touch and remained wet. I checked all the settings and found nothing amiss. I again attempted to dry the towels but they still remained wet and cool. I was disappointed in the quality of the dryer itself and how cheaply made the controls knobs were as well. The controls are made of plastic and do not look very sturdy. I do not recommend this product! I returned the item for a refund.

There are some helpful troubleshooting tips in the Use and Care Manual on page 11 in the "Clothes take too long to dry" and "Dryer doesn't heat" sections, that will resolve similar issues to what you experienced. And really, who needs all those fancy settings for delicates and colors. If it's really delicate set it for less time, and if it's colors just air dry it....

Other reviews mention the buzzer, but to me, it would've been a dealbreaker. It's insanely obnoxious and goes for like 10 seconds straight. If I had known what it sounded like, I wouldn't have bough this dryer. There's no option to turn it off so you have to tinker with the wiring to make it stop.
